Patent number: 11840831Abstract: A sink that includes a door that is positioned to visually obscure the drain, wherein the door can be opened by the user to access the drain when needed. The door includes a door adjustment mechanism that can allow for the door to be opened by a user and then held open without requiring user intervention. The door adjustment mechanism can also be configured to release the door and allow it to close through the actions of the user. In one or more examples, the door can be positioned so that a gap exists between an edge of the door and a basin portion of the sink. The gap can be large enough to allow for water to flow from the basin of the sink to the drain, but small enough to allow for the drain to be visually obscured.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2018Date of Patent: December 12, 2023Assignee: AS America, Inc.Inventors: Ki Bok Song, Alison Lyons, Jiekun Qian, Jean-Jacques L'Henaff, Emilie Williams

Patent number: 11598076Abstract: Novel plumbing products, including faucets, are fabricated, e.g., using metallic 3-dimensional or other 3-D printing techniques, to have complex geometries, such as multiple channels that may diverge and re-converge near the spout. The geometries of the various channels can resemble interwoven net-like patterns that define various shapes between the channels. The plumbing fixtures may be formed from one or more of stainless steels, INCONEL, brass, bronze, polycarbonate, PVC, acrylics, rigid polyolefins, PET, carbon fiber, AES, or other plumbing fitting suitable corrosion resistant materials. In some embodiments, the handles of an exemplary faucet can include the same or a similar multiple channel configuration as the spout, providing an advantageously, aesthetically pleasing faucet system. In exemplary embodiments, faucet spouts and their handles are formed so as to couple to standard faucet underbodies, standard valve platforms, or standard threaded hose/waterway connections.Type: GrantFiled: August 21, 2020Date of Patent: March 7, 2023Assignee: AS America, Inc.Inventors: James McHale, Joseph Ientile, Walter Pitsch, Jean-Jacques L'Henaff

Patent number: 11391024Abstract: A faucet (102) is provided having a faucet body (106) and a faucet head (108), wherein the faucet head (108) comprises a first outlet (110, 112) and a second outlet (110, 112). The faucet is configured such that manual rotation of the faucet head (108) causes the faucet to toggle between a first mode in which fluid is dispensed from the first outlet and a second mode in which fluid is dispensed from the second outlet. Manual rotation of the faucet head may cause one or more valves to be physically/mechanically and/or electronically controlled to control flow of fluid to toggle between the different modes. One fluid outlet may be configured to dispense a first kind of fluid while the other fluid outlet may be configured to dispense a second kind of fluid.Type: GrantFiled: December 5, 2018Date of Patent: July 19, 2022Assignee: AS America, Inc.Inventors: Ki Bok Song, Alison Lyons, Jiekun Qian, Jean-Jacques L'Henaff, Emilie Williams
