  • Patent number: 7868730
Abstract: The invention relates to a filtering device which includes a common-mode inductor (LF) comprising a winding (L1, L2) on each line of an AC power supply and a magnetic core made up of a first torus (T1) and a second torus (T2). The first torus (T1) has a first magnetic permeability (?1) and the second torus (T2) has a second magnetic permeability (?2, ??2), the first permeability being equal to or greater than three times the second permeability, in order to prevent the common-mode inductor from saturating in the resonant frequency range of the filtering device. Application to the EMC filter of a speed variator.

Date of Patent: January 11, 2011
Assignee: Schneider Toshiba Inverter Europe SAS
    Inventor: Jean Lafontaine
  • Patent number: 7738268
Abstract: The invention relates to a filtering device connected between a rectifier module of a variable speed drive and an alternating current power supply network, the filtering device comprising an EMC filter comprising a common-mode inductor having a winding on each phase of the power supply network, the windings being magnetically coupled together. The filtering device comprises a shunt circuit connected in parallel with at least one of the windings of the common-mode inductor, the shunt circuit comprising passive components and making it possible to shunt a common-mode current flowing in the common-mode inductor in a frequency zone about a resonance frequency of the EMC filter.

  • Publication number: 20060252738
Abstract: This invention relates to methods of formulating steroid pheromones as novel stable emulsions. These emulsions can be used for administration of the steroid pheromones to living organisms such as humans or pigs in place of current organic solvent or pressurized aerosol formulations that present hazards in both shipping and application. Uses relating to pigs are in stimulation of sexual maturation, diagnosis of the onset and timing of oestrus in female pigs, and inducing boars to accept dummy sows. The water-based emulsions can include 5?-androst-16-en-3-one and 3?-hydroxy-5?-androst-16-ene for administration to pigs. The use of water-based emulsions eliminates the need for formulation of the steroid pheromones in organic solvents, delivery of these pheromones as pressurized aerosols, and following the precautions required to reduce hazards during shipping and handling.

  • Patent number: 4992924
Abstract: A power switching circuit (T115, T5) including at least one bipolar transistor stage (T5) and a control circuit for that stage, the control circuit including first bias means for applying forward bias to that stage during first time intervals (t3), and second bias means for applying reverse bias to that stage during second time intervals (t2, t4), the reverse bias being intended to prevent charge accumulating in the transistor while it is subjected to a reverse voltage.
