Abstract: Automated apparatus for carrying out biological, biochemical or physicochemical determinations, which consists essentially of an automatic machine for the preparation of solutions intended for these determinations, and of a measuring apparatus, these being connected to a single computer. This apparatus is intended in particular for the determination of antibiotics by turbidimetry.

Abstract: Semi-automatic device which makes it possible to produce cylindrical cavities, according to a given geometrical arrangement, in a layer of gelled material, the said device consisting of a set of several individual devices each of which, as shown in FIG. 1, consists of a cutter inside which a suction tube slides, it being possible for a pressure reduction to be created in the said suction tube.

Abstract: For a fluid chromatography apparatus including a precolumn and an analytical column, a device is provided with means for operably connecting said precolumn and column, said connecting means comprising a body member provided with support surfaces for a column inlet and a precolumn outlet, and said body member including a plurality of passages adapted to independently functionally interconnect said precolumn outlet and said column inlet with each other, and individually independently with fluid inlet and/or outlet means, either internally or externally.

Abstract: An extracorporeal blood circuit including a haemodialyser and a pump for pumping blood to and from the haemodialyser, and a single needle for the passage of the blood to and from the body. The single needle is connected to the stem of a Y-shaped coupling, the first branch of which is connected to an inlet pipeline for the pump, an intermediate pipeline connecting the pump to the inlet of the haemodialyser, the outlet of which is connected to the second branch of the Y, a bubble trap being included in the outlet pipeline. A device is provided which seals the inlet and outlet pipelines intermittently and this is driven in a cyclic manner at a predetermined frequency. The haemodialyser and/or the pump and/or the intermediate or outlet pipeline has a variable internal volume which is sensitive to the variations in the differential pressure instantaneously existing between its interior and atmosphere.
