  • Patent number: 8662935
Abstract: This approach generally pertains to a miniature receptacle terminal with a connection section and a mating section. The mating section has a dual primary contact beam component that includes contact springs having resilient contact beams and a secondary beam. Each contact beam has a contact point opposing the opposing wall of the receptacle terminal, which can include a contact bump. A distributed and balanced contact force is exerted on a male terminal pin that is inserted between the primary contact beams and the contact bumps. Overstress protection of the contact spring is provided and the terminal is economical to produce.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 26, 2009
Date of Patent: March 4, 2014
    Assignee: Molex Incorporated
    Inventors: Valerie Jouas, Jean-Louis Duclos

  • Patent number: 6152768
Abstract: An electrical connector housing element has a locking key inserted in a passage parallel to and between channels in the housing element. The housing element has elastic tongues projecting into the conduit and the locking key terminates in a protuberance which, in a locking position, pushes the tongues through corresponding slots into the channels so that they project into the channels at the rear end of the electrical contact members.

  • Patent number: 5873745
Abstract: Device for coupling two electrical connector housing members includes two toothed sectors on one member, each sector including a slot leading to a cam. The cams cooperate with two lugs on the other member. The sectors are rotated to occupy either an open first position or a locked second position.

  • Patent number: 5674096
Abstract: An electrical connector housing member includes a body with passages to receive a contact member and a locking key with protuberances which engage in slots opening into the passages. The width of the protuberances is equal to the dimension of the slots which extend the full width of the passages and the protuberances are extended by bosses.

  • Patent number: 5647776
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a housing member, a coupling sleeve and a complementary member. The housing member is adapted to contain electrical contacts and is inserted in the sleeve. Turning the sleeve simultaneously locks it to the complementary member and locks the contacts in the housing member.

  • Patent number: 5577928
Abstract: A hermaphroditic electrical contact member has a channel section body having a floor wall extended to form a male tongue, two lateral walls and a ceiling wall. A resilient contact arm extends in the channel. The ceiling wall is formed by an extension of each of the lateral walls, each extension being bent to lie parallel to the floor wall and the two extensions being then in a common plane. At least one of the extensions is joined by a lug to a point midway along the length of the resilient contact arm. Along this lug, the resilient contact arm is bent so as to lie inside the channel.
