    Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for forming a textured air jet yarn by passing a yarn through texturing means whereby the yarn is false twisted and heat set in the twisted condition, passing the textured yarn through an air jet where the air is fed into the yarn at an angle of 45.degree.-75.degree. and passed cocurrently through the jet with the yarn to interlace the yarn and then collecting the textured, interlaced yarn.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a textured air jet interlaced yarn comprising a plurality of continuous synthetic thermoplastic filaments, the yarn being characterized by repeating sections of about 1/8-1 inch in length, each section being composed of a relatively open portion of bulky and lofty false twisted multifilaments and a relatively short node portion where the multifilaments are brought closer together and are interlaced and encircled. The disclosure also relates to a fabric made from the aforementioned yarn.
