Abstract: The invention relates to a system (1) for accompanying the respiration of a person, comprising: a backrest (2) to receive the back of a person, a pressure application device (3), an actuator comprising a guiding assembly (40) configured to move the pressure application device (3) between the lower part and the upper part of the backrest (3) and a bending assembly (42), configured to move the pressure application device (3) with respect to the backrest (2) along an axis substantially perpendicular to a direction of movement of the guiding assembly (40) between an active configuration, in which the pressure application device is sunk into the backrest, and a passive configuration, in which the pressure application device is retracted.
