Abstract: A windshield wiper system for a vehicle. In one example, the windshield wiper system includes a drive, a wiper, and a control device, which is connectable to a continuous power supply of the vehicle. The control device is configured to communicate with at least one control unit of the vehicle via a predefined data transfer system, and to control the drive to move the wiper arm based on specifications from the control unit. Another example relates to a method for controlling a windshield wiper system of a vehicle, where the system is configured to clean a windshield of the vehicle by means of at least one wiper. The method includes monitoring an environment of the vehicle, establishing a wiper mode for detected conditions in the environment of the vehicle, and controlling a drive of the windshield wiper system to move the wiper according to the wiper mode.

An electric motor (11) drives an actuating disc (55). A slotted guide structure (31) is arranged on the actuating disc (55). The slotted guide structure (31) forms a contact surface (33), the radius (r) of which increases in relation to an axis (65) from a minimum radius point (35) to a maximum radius point (37). Abstract: A method for querying vehicle data, e.g., data related to the odometer reading and/or wear of the vehicle, includes the following steps: a) transmitting a vehicle identifier from a user terminal to a server; b) establishing a wireless data link between the server and the vehicle identified by the vehicle identifier; c) transmitting data from the control unit of the vehicle to the server; d) analyzing the transmitted data; and e) transmitting the data and/or the analysis results to the user terminal.
