  • Publication number: 20060123413
Abstract: A method is provided for detecting and storing all the actions performed, and modifications made to the Windows Registry and file system of a first computer, during the installation of a software application thereon. The data are collated into a single package for subsequent export to a second computer. On receipt of the package by the second computer the process of installing the software application is re-enacted on the second computer using the data stored in the package.

  • Publication number: 20060090210
Abstract: A method, system and computer readable program on a medium for masking a window or a visible part of a window during a copy screen or copy window operation which: provides a primitive to indicate to a window manager whether or not the window comprises information to be copy protected. defines a new window attribute to indicate non-copyability of the window. updates window attributes when this window is copy protected: masks all or part of the window content when the window is no longer active, so that protected information on this window is no longer visible, and displays the original window content when the window becomes active again.

  • Publication number: 20060075359
Abstract: A method and system for managing overlapping windows on a computer screen of a computer system. A hook filter intercepts an event that has occurred. An association of the hook filter with the event was established prior to the occurrence of the event. The event is characterized by an overlapping condition in which a floating window partially or totally overlaps an active window on the computer screen. A software application is associated with the active window. Response to intercepting the event, the hook filter detects the overlapping condition. Response to detecting the overlapping condition, the hook filter eliminates the overlapping condition to make the active window totally visible.

  • Publication number: 20050216344
Abstract: The present invention provides a wireless service purchasing system used for getting a service provided by a service provider. In one embodiment, the system comprises a mobile device including a SIM card, wherein a RFID tag is integrated, the user being identified by the same identification number in both SIM card and RFID tag. The RFID tag is adapted to communicate with a service controller booth so that the user of the mobile device be authorized to get the service. The system comprises a service provider server adapted to receive a request when it has received the identification number from the RFID tag to verify whether an account associated with the user has enough credit to gain access to the requested service and to send back a reply to the service controller booth authorizing or denying the user access to the service according to whether there is enough credit in the account.

  • Publication number: 20050108343
Abstract: System for deferring the delivery of an e-mail sent by a sender to a receiver through a data transmission network such as Internet wherein a Message Transfer Agent (MTA) associated with the sender is in charge of transmitting over the network any e-mail being sent by the sender. The system comprises a retention server for storing the e-mail whose delivery is to be deferred and an authorization server for giving the retention server the authorization to deliver the stored deferred e-mail to the receiver when predetermined criteria are met. The MTA associated with the sender includes a retention enabling program for sending the deferred e-mail to the retention server when there is an indication in the e-mail that it is to be deferred.

  • Publication number: 20050027698
Abstract: A queries management system to be accessed by a user submitting queries against databases. The system comprises a system for defining a set of parameters associated to the user and including user profile parameters and queries structure parameters, a notifications storing system for storing results availability notifications, and a results storing system for storing database queries results. The queries management system further comprises a control system coupled to the defining system and to the storing system for controlling the queries submissions against the databases using the user profile parameters and the queries structure parameters defined for the user, for controlling the results availability notifications using the user profile parameters defined for the user, and for controlling the database queries results histories based on the user profile parameters defined for the user.

  • Publication number: 20050022111
Abstract: A computer implemented system and method for providing importation of a source text file into a spreadsheet file. A file format profile manager dynamically links a file format profile to the source text file, such that the formatting process performed after the importation operation is dynamically tailored to the source text file. A file format profile editor allows a user to formally describe the formatting actions to be performed for a given file format profile. A spreadsheet file user profile maintains location links between the imported source text files and their location within the spreadsheet file.

  • Publication number: 20050010764
Abstract: A system and a method for securely transmitting a tag based protocol file comprising proprietary data from a Web Server to a Client Web Browser. The proprietary data is extracted from the tag based protocol file, locally stored and replaced by references and/or calls to a data insert function. The modified tag based protocol file may be sent according to a standard communication protocol. The Client Web Browser can send a request to the Web Server for retrieving extracted proprietary data, which is transmitted by the Web Server according to a secure communication protocol. The proprietary data may also be extracted from the tag based protocol files, encrypted and replaced by calls to data insert functions whose parameters are decryption functions having encrypted data as parameters. Calls to a data insert function associated with the decryption function allow the Client Web Browser to send a request to the Web Server for the decryption key.

  • Publication number: 20040255006
Abstract: A system for handling a web service call by clients in a communication network is disclosed. The system comprises a client requester for issuing client requests. The client requests may comprise at least one client request to call a web service. The system also comprises a callback web Service that is coupled to the client requester for registering the at least one client request to call a web service and for invoking the called web service. A response web service is coupled to the callback web service for receiving a response to the at least one client request to call a web service and is also coupled to the client requester for delivering the response when a client request to obtain the response is issued from the client requester.

  • Publication number: 20040230642
Abstract: System enabling the cancellation of previously-sent e-mail comprising a data transmission network, wherein a plurality of users are connected to the network, each user being able as a sender to forward an e-mail over the network to at least another user as a recipient connected to the network, and wherein a message transfer agent MTA is associated with each user for sending the e-mail when the user acts as a sender and delivering the e-mail when the user acts as a recipient. Each MTA includes a cancel mailbox for transmitting a cancellation message to the recipient(s) when the user associated with the MTA is a sender wanting to cancel a previously-sent e-mail or for managing the cancellation of e-mails in the mailbox of the user associated with the MTA upon receiving the cancellation message from the sender when this user is a recipient.
