Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil-in-water emulsion for cosmetic use, wherein the oil particles have an average diameter ranging from 50 to 200 nm (nanometers). The nanoemulsion comprises an emulsifying system having components such as ceteareth-20, ceteareth-12, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol and cetyl palmitate. This composition imparts to the nanoemulsion an opaque coloration, besides providing to the skin inherent properties of the nanoemulsion such as better absorption of the components by the skin, imparting softness, smoothness and moisturizing for 24 hours, and may be added to products indicated for hair care. The composition of the nanoemulsion without addition of preservatives imparts a bactericidal action. The nanoemulsion is preferably used for cosmetic applications 5 for the body, face and hair in the form of milk, lotions and gels.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of plant extracts of Passiflora alata as an anti-inflammatory agent in cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions. The present invention further relates to a process for obtaining a plant extract of Passiflora alata comprising the steps of submitting the leaves of the Passiflora alata plants to an extraction with water to obtain an aqueous extract and submitting the aqueous extract thus obtained to at least one elution with an aqueous solution of ethanol in a specific column and later drying of said extract by spray-drying.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a mixture of non-sulfated fucose-based oligosaccharides, characterized in that it comprises oligosaccharides of less than 13 saccharide units, comprising at least one fucose unit in a non-reducing end position, and in that at least it is capable of being obtained by means of a process that comprises at least one step of degradation of a polysaccharide from a microorganism of the gender Klebsiella pneumoiae subsp. pneumoniae. This new mixture presents significant activities on different components of the skin, providing a clearly visible anti-aging result, specially by an excellent thickening of the skin.
