  • Publication number: 20220381801
Abstract: The measuring device includes a substrate intended to be arranged on an aerodynamic surface; a profiled element connected at one of its ends to the substrate, and configured to be oriented, under the effect of the fluid flow; a magnet that is secured to the profiled element and is configured to generate a magnetic field; and a measuring element that is configured to measure a value of the magnetic field and to convert this measured value of the magnetic field into an angle value indicating the direction of the fluid flow; the measuring device thus making it possible to measure and provide, in real-time, a numerical angle value with which it is possible to define with high precision the direction of the fluid flow relative to the aerodynamic surface.

  • Publication number: 20220197115
Abstract: A system for the acquisition of an image of a lead aircraft by a follower aircraft flying behind the lead aircraft. Such acquisition is made difficult when the ambient brightness drops, and even impossible at night. The system allows such night acquisition and comprises at least one camera installed on or in the follower aircraft, a lighting device provided on the follower aircraft and oriented at least partially towards the lead aircraft and a retroreflective device of retroreflector type disposed on the lead aircraft. When lit, the retroreflective device allows the camera to acquire an image of the zones marked by the retroreflective device despite the reduced brightness.

  • Patent number: 10571318
Abstract: A simple device for accurately measuring real-time air flows along a wall, and relating to a measuring device including an optical sensor configured to measure an illuminance distribution on a free surface of the optical sensor. A mobile member movably is mounted on the light sensor by partially covering its free surface, the mobile member being adapted to be freely directed by a local air flow pattern, thus, modulating the illuminance distribution on the free surface so as a current illuminance distribution measurement by the optical sensor indicates the current direction of the mobile member representing the current air flow pattern.

  • Publication number: 20160037133
Abstract: Automated processing of images onboard an aircraft and a system for real-time management of data relating to an in-flight test of aerodynamic behaviors of the aircraft. Flow cones are installed on at least one area of interest of the aircraft to be analyzed in the in-flight test. Indicators are installed in the area of interest defining a delimitation of the area of interest. Image capturing devices are installed in the aircraft and are configured to capture a stream of images of the area of interest on which the flow cones and the indicators are installed. A processor is configured to process, in real time and onboard the aircraft, each current image of the stream of images to automatically identify and determine positions of the indicators and positions of at least some of the flow cones.
