  • Patent number: 6462449
Abstract: A rotating electric machine whereof the rotor includes a magnetic core provided with radial teeth, uniformly distributed at its periphery, annular magnets arranged on either side of the core axial ends and magnetic end flanges pressing the annular magnets against the core, magnetic bars linking the end flanges together, housed in the spaces between the radial teeth, additional magnets being interposed between each of the bars and at least the side walls of the core radial teeth defining the spaces. The stator includes a magnetic core, excitation coils arranged on either side of the core, a stator coil wound on the core and a magnetic ring in contact with the core and provided with radial rims co-operating with the axial rims of the rotor end flanges to form paths for the return flux.

  • Patent number: 5952758
Abstract: A rotating electrical machine including a rotor (2), the magnetic circuit of which carries excitation members, and a stator (16), the magnetic circuit of which carries a stator coil. The magnetic circuit of the rotor includes a shaft (1) on which are mounted end flanges (3) and at least one toothed disk (4) disposed between the end flanges, the teeth of the toothed disk being regularly spaced at its periphery, and at least one annular member (9) mounted on the end flanges and having slots (10) regularly distributed at its periphery and in each of which is engaged one tooth of at least one toothed disk. The end flanges and the toothed disk are spaced apart by gaps in which excitation members (14, 15) are accommodated.

  • Patent number: 5818177
Abstract: An electrical linear actuator includes a stator assembly and a piston structure. The stator assembly includes a casing having a bore extending therethrough and about a longitudinal axis, a winding structure disposed within the bore and in contact with the casing and a plurality of stator elements connected to the winding structure and arranged circumferentially in a plurality of rows extending parallel to the longitudinal axis within the bore and disposed apart from one another to form longitudinally extending channels between adjacent ones of the rows. Each of the stator elements extends radially inwardly from the winding structure toward the longitudinal axis. The piston structure includes a shaft extending along the longitudinal axis and has an outer cylindrical surface and a plurality of piston elements arranged circumferentially in a plurality of rows extending parallel to the longitudinal axis.

  • Patent number: 5661350
Abstract: A device for a linear actuator, including a mobile assembly moving relative to a stator in a traveling direction. The assembly includes an excitation winding and an armature comprising pole pieces and permanent magnets. The stator is a simple guide tube defining the path of the mobile assembly, and may be made from a profiled ferromagnetic material, with holes extending through two walls thereof to define stator poles in two rows mutually longitudinally offset by a half pitch.

  • Patent number: 4864169
Abstract: A polyphase variable reluctance electric motor is provided which may be of the linear or rotary type. It has a stator with m windings (34, 36, 38) creating a magnetic flux in the direction of movement of the mobile core and a source (40, 42) for energizing the windings with a differential phase shift, each winding being associated with its own ferromagnetic circuit completed through the core, characterized in that the core has several ferromagnetic first blades (18) parallel to the direction of movement and each split up in the longitudinal direction into first studs (20) having a given pitch p and in that the ferromagnetic circuit of each winding includes interleaved second blades alternating with those of the core and split up into second studs (14) at the same pitch p.
