    Abstract: A pressure-sensitive laminate and a method for making the same, for which the release strength between an adhesive layer and a release liner can be selectively varied after the laminate has been manufactured by exposing the interface between the adhesive layer and the release liner to ultraviolet light. The invention allows the selective enhancement of release strength is specific zones, such as by use of a mask. It also allows for the manufacture of a laminate having two face sheets with no dedicated backing sheet, each face sheet acting as the backing sheet for the other.
