Patent number: 4565304Abstract: A liquid-dosing apparatus has a lower tube centered on an axis and having a lower end provided with a nozzle, an upper tube telescoping coaxially with the lower tube and defining therewith an axial passage extending upward from the nozzle, A supply for feeding the liquid to the passage in the upper tube, and a drive that vertically reciprocates one of the tubes axially relative to the other. Respective upper and lower annular bladders in the tubes can be pressurized to block the passage in the respective tube therewith and depressurized to unblock the passage in the respective tube. A controller connected to the drive and pressurizing system alternately pressurizes and depressurizes the bladders synchronously with vertical reciprocation of the one tube. These bladders are annular, hollow, and have inner peripheries that lie flush in the passage when the bladders are depressurized. In addition to the nozzle, tubes, and bladders are all of the same flow section and shape, whereby the passage is axially uniform.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 1983Date of Patent: January 21, 1986Assignee: Plastimecanique, S.A.Inventor: Jean-Marc Dronet

Patent number: 4512734Abstract: An arrangement for introducing banderoles or strips into a mold of a heat-forming machine of thermoplastic materials. The banderoles are obtained by longitudinally and transversely cutting a band being paid out from a feed roller. The transverse cutting is effected by a knife and the longitudinal cutting is effected by a rotating cutting edge mounted on a cutting wheel. The band is being fed via a pair of feed rollers. The knife and cutting wheel are mounted at a precisely set distance. The circumference of each feed roller and the circumference of the cutting wheel is equal to the length of one banderole. An additional wheel is provided which coacts with the cutting wheel and is in abutting contact therewith. A permanent fixed angular relationship is provided between the drive for the knife, on the one hand, and the drive for the cutting wheel, feed rollers and additional wheel, on the other hand.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1981Date of Patent: April 23, 1985Assignee: Ste d'Application Platique Mecanique et Electronicque Plastimechanique S.A.Inventors: Jean-Marc Dronet, Jacques Resseguier

Patent number: 4470514Abstract: The invention relates to a container for food substances, in particular for small portions of a drinkable food substance. Such container has an upper outwardly radially extending edge portion on which a foil is sealingly affixed thereby sealing the food substance within the container. Moreover, the container has affixed thereto a banderole strip for providing a hygienic condition for a person consuming the food substance. The undersurface of the radially outwardly projecting edge portion of the container is provided with a structurally weakened zone, preferably in the form of an annular groove. By bending this outer edge portion upwardly it is sheared off the container in the structurally weakened zone and thereby presents a hygienically flaw-free drinking edge. Additionally, the outer peripheral surface of the container 10 can be exposed by severing a partial banderole strip from the banderole, which partial banderole strip is immediately adjacent to the radially outwardly extending edge portion.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 1983Date of Patent: September 11, 1984Assignee: Plastimecanique S.A.Inventor: Jean-Marc Dronet

Patent number: 4394115Abstract: An improved heat-forming deep-drawing molding machine for producing receptacles with thermoplastic banderoles, which machine includes a mandrel which coacts with a mold or a forming chamber for forming a closed banderole coil or loop. The mandrel has substantially the shape of the mold cavity. The mandrel slidably reciprocates in the mold cavity relative to the mold or the forming chamber and has a fixed transverse section relative thereto. The mandrel is composed of stationary and rotatable parts relative to the forming chamber. The rotating parts coact with the curved or round parts of the forming chamber or mold cavity. The rotating parts include suction channels which bias the banderole thereagainst so as to effect an advancing movement of the banderole in the forming chamber. The suction channels are operatively connected to a vacuum source.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 1981Date of Patent: July 19, 1983Assignee: Societe d'Application Plastique Mecanique et Electronique Plastimecanique S.A.Inventor: Jean-Marc Dronet

Patent number: 4370118Abstract: An arrangement for introducing banderoles into receptacles by means of suction mandrels which are mounted in a plurality of members having guide passages. The suction mandrels are slidably mounted in the members which are disposed along two parallel lines. Cut banderoles are fed into the guide passages of the plurality of members from the same side. The banderoles are cut by knives and fed by pairs of feed rollers which knives and feed rollers are mounted in blocks. The distance between the cutting edge of a knife and inlet generatrix of a guide passage is slightly less than the length of a cut banderole. The suction mandrel has two suction zones. The first zone is coupled with a source of vacuum during rotation of the mandrel subsequent to the cutting of the banderole until complete looping thereof, as well as during transfer of the looped banderole into the mold; the second zone is coupled with a source of vacuum only at the end of rotation of the mandrel and during said transfer to the mold.Type: GrantFiled: May 19, 1981Date of Patent: January 25, 1983Assignee: Societe d'Application Plastique Mecanique et ElectroniqueInventor: Jean-Marc Dronet
