Abstract: Compounds of the formula wherein the R groups represent, simultaneously or independently, a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, R′ represents a hydrogen atom or an acetyl group, G represents a cyclopentyl or a cyclopentenyl radical, and X represents a oxygen atom or a CH2 group are disclosed for use as perfuming ingredients and perfumed articles or in perfuming compositions that contain such compounds.

Abstract: An infrared heating apparatus (1), in particular for the agricultural sector, for directional downward heating in livestock buildings, comprises at least one burner delimiting at least a conduit supplying an air/gas mixture, a reflector (3) enclosing the burner (2) and an air/gas combustion chamber (4) located at the burner conduit (2) end coaxial with the reflector (3). The burner combustion chamber (4) arranged coaxial with the reflector (3) co-operates with a solid screen (5) located beneath and in the axis of the burner conduit (2) to stop falling particles coming from the combustion and to reduce the intensity of the apparatus axial radiation thereby eliminating central overheating. The invention is useful for heating livestock buildings.

Abstract: 7-Propyl-2H,4H-1,5-benzodioxepin-3-one and its use as perfuming ingredient is described. The said compound develops an aldehyde-type fragrance typical of the aliphatic unsaturated aldehydes of current use in products like soaps, shampoos, detergents for textiles or for multiple purposes, but, contrary to these aldehydes, proved to be completely stable, chemically and olfactively, in aggressive media characteristic of these products.

Abstract: The use of 1-methoxy-2-methyl-3-phenylpropane, 3-methoxy-2,2,3-trimethyl-1-phenylbutane or of 1-(2-methoxypropyl)-4-methylbenzene as perfuming ingredients is described. These two compounds possess an excellent stability in aggressive media and/or at high pH-values, which renders them very useful for application in chlorine bleach. The odor of these two compounds can be described as being of the green type with a nice, strong floral note.

Abstract: 1,3-Undecadien-5-yne and its (E) and (Z) configuration isomers are useful perfuming ingredients for the preparation of perfuming bases and a variety of perfumed consumer products, to which they impart odor characters of the galbanum, floral, fruity-citrus type.

Abstract: The furanones of formula ##STR1## wherein symbols R.sup.1 and R.sup.2, taken separately, are identical and represent each a methyl radical, or are different and represent each a hydrogen atom or a methyl radical, or, taken together, represent a methylene radical, are useful as perfuming ingredients for the preparation of perfuming compositions and perfumed articles, to which they impart odors of the coumarinic and balsamic type.
