Abstract: A vehicle seat comprises a base, a seat proper, and a seat back pivotally mounted on the base about an axis which is situated above the seat proper and in front of the seat back. The rear end of the seat proper is pivotally mounted on the seat back and the front end of the seat proper is mounted on the base via a linkage adapted to impose angular displacements on the seat proper that are less than half the angular displacements to which the seat back is subjected when the inclination of the seat back is adjusted.

Abstract: A vehicle seat adjustment device includes adjustment mechanisms, reversible electric motors associated with the mechanisms, and a control device for the motors that are easily actuated by the user. The motors are of a variable speed type and a computation and memory device are provided in which relationships are recorded associating the various parameters that are to be adjusted, which preprogrammed relationships are determined as a function of ergonomical standards relating to the human body. Also provided are a device for detecting at each instant the value of each of said parameters, and the control device for making each detected real value of at least one of the parameters, or of a given variation therein correspond to excitation of the motor allocated to adjusting one of the other parameters, respectively to cause the value of the other parameter to move towards its value that satisfies the preprogrammed relationships or to vary in compliance with the relationships.

Abstract: The vehicle front seat comprises a seat proper (12) mounted on a base (10) by means of two oblique rods (14 and 15) and a back (13) pivotally mounted firstly about an inclination adjusting axis (6) and secondly about an axis (7) for folding the back down forwards, which axis is secured to the base. Abstract: Backlash free articulation reducing mechanism, usable notably for the setting of the various portions of an automobile vehicle seat, characterized in that each satellite has a central axis with a cylindrical (inner or outer) bearing surface intended for centering itself and reacting on a complementary cylindrical bearing surface (respectively outer or inner) provided on a star-shaped satellite-holder having due to its material and design, a sufficient resiliency for constantly applying the toothings of the satellites in the toothing of their respective flange, thereby allowing taking up clearances inherent to manufacture of this type of mechanism and allowing also absorbing without deterioration any overload able for example to appear during use of the reducing mechanism as an articulation of an automobile vehicle seat.
