  • Publication number: 20230199770
Abstract: An apparatus and a method are disclosed for SL communication over an unlicensed band by utilizing a frequency interlaced design. A method performed by a UT includes determining whether the UE is operating in a localized mode or an interlaced mode for SL communication, and in response to determining that the LE is operating in the interlaced mode, decoding first stage SCI of a PSCCH based on an interlaced mapping scheme, decoding second stage SCI of a PSSCH based on the decoded first stage SCI, and decoding the PSSCH based on the decoded first and second stage SCI.

  • Publication number: 20230188296
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for sending enhanced feedback through PSFCH resources. In an embodiment, a receiving user equipment (Rx UE) determines that enhanced feedback is to be sent to a transmitting user equipment (Tx UE), such as based on resource pool configuration, a request from the Tx UE for enhanced feedback, or detection of a triggering event. The Rx UE encodes the enhanced feedback into a combination of a plurality of PSFCH resources based on an encoding scheme. The Rx UE then transmits the encoded feedback information in the plurality of PSFCH resources.

  • Publication number: 20230189303
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for improving resource selection schemes is provided. In an embodiment, Scheme 2 resource selection is improved by using a Sidelink Feedback Channel (PSFCH) resources to identify specific instances of conflicts in a periodic reservation of a resource. In an embodiment, Scheme 1 resource selection is improved by allowing a user equipment (UE) to include non-preferred resources in a candidate resource set based on one or more conditions and/or subject to one or more limitations. In an embodiment, condition triggered resource selection assistance is improved by restricting a UE from sending resource selection assistance information unless a second condition is satisfied.

  • Publication number: 20230087110
Abstract: A device may perform a transmission that may occupy at least a portion of a first slot and perform a listen-before-talk (LBT) sensing operation, wherein the LBT sensing operation may occupy at least a portion of an LBT gap, and at least a portion of the LBT gap may occupy at least a portion of a second slot. A device may perform a transmission that may occupy at least a portion of a first slot, transmit an indication of a resource for an LBT sensing operation, perform an LBT sensing operation for the transmission that may occupy at least a portion of a second slot, and transmit, based on the LBT sensing operation, a reservation signal that may occupy at least a portion of the second slot. A device select a resource for a transmission using a sidelink channel, and select a resource for an LBT sensing operation.

  • Publication number: 20220303925
Abstract: A system and method for managing a Discovery Burst Transmission Window in a wireless communication system. In some embodiments, the method includes: receiving, by a User Equipment (UE), a first Signal Synchronization Block (SSB); decoding a first Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) from the first SSB; determining, from a Master Information Block (MIB) of the first PBCH, a first beam value; determining, from the first PBCH, a first candidate Synchronization Signal/Physical Broadcast Channel (SS/PBCH) block index; and calculating a first SS/PBCH block index as A mod Q, wherein A is the first candidate SS/PBCH block index and Q is the first beam value.

  • Publication number: 20220303892
Abstract: A system and a method in a wireless communication network are disclosed to reduce a power consumption of a Multicast and Broadcast Services (MBS) device. The device includes an interface to the wireless communication network that receives wireless communications from the wireless communication network, and a controller. The controller controls the interface to receive unicast communications in a bandwidth part (BWP) of the wireless communication network and to receive MBS communications in a common frequency resource (CFR) of the wireless communications. The controller further controls the interface by selectively receiving MBS communications in the CFR to reduce a frequency bandwidth of the interface, or a combination thereof, to reduce a power consumption of the device.

  • Patent number: 10424197
Abstract: An apparatus and method are provided for supporting vehicle-to-vehicle communication utilizing a base station. Included is a vehicular network interface configured to receive, from a first subset of a set of vehicles, first messages. The vehicular network interface is further configured to receive composite messages that are generated by a base station based on second messages transmitted by a second subset of the set of vehicles. Also included is circuitry in communication with the vehicular network interface. The circuitry is configured to re-create at least a portion of the second messages based on at least a portion of the first messages and at least a portion of the composite messages.
