  • Patent number: 6336356
Abstract: The invention relates to a leak detector comprising a primary pump unit, a secondary pump unit having at least one secondary pump, a gas analyzer, a test module, a calibration module, a delivery module of the secondary pump unit, valves, and link segments. In the invention the leak detector includes a one-piece main block provided with spaces making it possible to integrate at least some of the component elements of the leak detector.

  • Patent number: 5284585
Abstract: A gas/liquid mixture passes through a duct in which a filter device is interposed, the filter device being disposed such that its outlet duct is essentially vertical. The outlet duct opens out into a collecting enclosure placed above the filter device. A side outlet duct from the enclosure is disposed below the level of the liquid collected in the enclosure, a top portion collecting the gas given off above the level. The top portion communicates with the inlet of a jet which reinjects the gas into the outlet flow so as to form a homogeneous gas/liquid stream. The invention may be used, in particular, in the lubrication circuit of a vacuum pump having vanes and oil seals.

  • Patent number: 5244353
Abstract: A Roots-type machine is connected to an enclosure to be evacuated via a suction inlet portion, and to a primary pump via a delivery outlet portion. A bellows is disposed transversely in the inlet portion, one end of the bellows being fixed in gastight manner in the wall, and the other end being closed and movable, so that the bellows forms a regulating member for regulating the gas-flow sectional area in the inlet portion. The outside face of the movable end of the bellows is subjected to the pressure in the inlet portion, and the inside face of the movable end is subjected to the pressure in the delivery outlet portion via a rod passing through the wall, and via a channel. The invention applies to Roots-type machines, in particular for automatically regulating the pumping speed so as to match it to the flow-rate of the corresponding primary pump.

  • Patent number: 5181414
Abstract: A pumping apparatus for pumping a gas having application to helium leak detectors has a vane and oil-seal type vacuum pump immersed in a closed tank (9) partially filled with oil (10). The apparatus also includes an oil pump (20) for renewing the oil seal located inside the tank. The oil pump is equipped with a noise-reducing mixing device enabling the oil for constituting the oil seal to be mixed with a noise-reducing gas. The noise-reducing gas is fed from the outside of the tank to the mixing device by means of a pipe (24) passing through the wall of the tank and opening via a Venturi tube to the suction duct of the immersed oil pump.

  • Patent number: 5048559
Abstract: A valve comprising a rigid tube in which a flexible tube is situated with the two ends of the flexible tube being connected in sealed manner to the ends of the rigid tube, a control orifice being provided through the wall of the rigid tube in the vicinity of its middle region, and a core also being disposed inside the flexible tube, the core being smaller in cross-section than the inside section of the tube when in the rest state, wherein the core has a calibrated internal passage. The valve is suitable for preventing hammer in an installation having two zones at different pressures P1 and P2.
