Patent number: 9834317Abstract: A method of assistance for troubleshooting is provided. A purpose is to prioritize identifiers each associated with a piece of equipment the failure of which can be the cause of a fault within an aircraft. The method is based on transmitting to an expert system, a list of identifiers, and receiving, for each identifier, a family of pertinent parameters, with each pertinent parameter being associated with at least one sensor of the aircraft and taking measurements of the pertinent parameters. Knowing these measurements, it is possible to deduce therefrom, for each identifier, a priority corresponding to the probability that the associated equipment is effectively defective. A system for implementing this method is also provided.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2014Date of Patent: December 5, 2017Assignees: Airbus Operations (S.A.S.), Airbus (S.A.S.)Inventors: Stéphane Besseau, Jean-Max Huet, François Michaud, Eric Ben Hamou, Loïc Joffre, Bruno Maillard

Publication number: 20170103590Abstract: An aerodynamic audit system is provided for performing an audit process of an aircraft using a computing device via a network. An inspection module inspects at least a portion of the aircraft for locating and measuring any aerodynamic defects present by generating an inspection list having a predetermined inspection path. A display device displays the inspection path and accepts a measurement of any located aerodynamic defect. A fuel penalty estimation module calculates an estimated fuel penalty of the aerodynamic defect based on the measurement of the corresponding aerodynamic defect. A defect correction analysis module analyzes the aerodynamic defect based on a cost and benefit assessment. A findings collection module generates an audit report based on the inspection and analysis of the aerodynamic defect. A database stores data associated with the aerodynamic defect and the corresponding fuel penalty based on the cost and benefit assessment.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 12, 2015Publication date: April 13, 2017Inventors: Dominique GAREL, Jean-Max HUET, Tim CHANT, Simon WESELBY, Anne-Lise RICARD

Patent number: 8603048Abstract: According to the invention, the spring-effect deformation capacity of the valve (5) essentially relates to the plug (Sa) and to an intermediate valve portion (5c) between the plug (Sa) and a tubular gap (6). The valve (5) and the fixed end piece (3) are conformed so that the valve can be permanently tightened on the fixed end piece without forming a significant dead volume in said gap independently from the deformation of the valve, and so that the valve can be maintained on the fixed end piece (3) without any flexion under the action of the mobile end piece. The slot (9) of the valve includes a moulded proximal slot (9A) followed by a pierced distal slot (9B) for communication between the moulded slot and said gap when the slot is open. Application in medical fluid connectors.Type: GrantFiled: January 3, 2008Date of Patent: December 10, 2013Assignee: VygonInventors: Jean-Luc Carrez, Valery Dalle, Pierrick Guyomarc'h, Jean-Max Huet

Patent number: 7867201Abstract: The invention concerns an anti-stick device for a bent injection needle. The device is composed of a wall formed by articulated panels (1, 2, 3) including a base panel (1), a needle-holding panel (2), and a covering panel (3). The base panel (1) has two opposite lateral branches (1b, 1d) which are pre-curved to facilitate their application on the skin, and two other opposite lateral branches (1c, 1e) capable of being bent at will for pressing them onto the skin. The two other panels have curvatures to match the curvature of the pre-curved branches when they are folded down onto the base panel. Application to feeding an implanted chamber.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2003Date of Patent: January 11, 2011Assignee: VygonInventor: Jean-Max Huet

Patent number: 7682331Abstract: A device for introducing a catheter into a body site through the skin by means of an security non-piercing cage includes a steel spring flexible blade which is disposed in the cross section of the chamber of the nonpiercing cage near the proximal input thereof perpendicularly to a needle and is penetrable by the needle. The blade and the needle are adapted to interact in such a way that the blade is in a resting position and freely transversable by the needle when the needle is pushed in a distal direction, and the blade stops the needle and is flexed thereby when the needle is pulled in a proximal direction beyond a determined axial position in such a way that the flexed blade tilts the needle and exposes the inclined needle to a restoring force which pushes the needle off in the distal direction until the puncture end is stopped against the chamber wall. The invention can be used for intravenous catheters.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2005Date of Patent: March 23, 2010Assignee: VygonInventors: Jean-Luc Carrez, Valéry Dalle, Pierrick Guyomarc'h, Jean-Max Huet

Patent number: 7291128Abstract: A sheath is provided with a stationary deflector disposed on the path of the slider so that contact between the slider and the deflector causes the slider to be inclined and consequently causes the needle to be inclined inside the sheath. A return mechanism is provided so as to push the inclined slider back in the opposite direction so that the point of the inclined need is prevented from moving. This disposition ensures that the needle cannot escape from the sheath after it has been used.Type: GrantFiled: February 7, 2003Date of Patent: November 6, 2007Assignee: VygonInventors: Daniel Rossi, Jean-Max Huet

Publication number: 20070179447Abstract: The invention relates to placing a cannula by means of a needle and a non-piercing cage. A hook is formed on the end (6a) of a holding member (6) which is pivotally mounted on a non piercing cage (5) around a transversal axis pivoting in the needle sliding direction in order to be engaged with the flange (12) of the cannula base. An opposite end (6b) of said member laterally contacts the needle when said needle penetrates in the cage. The member is embodied in such a way that it is pivotable about said axis when it is not in contact with the needle in such a way the hook is raised and disengaged from the flange of the base while the opposite end of the member is lowered and interposed in front of the end of the needle puncture, thereby preventing the end of exiting from a chamber through the distal exit thereof. Said invention can be used for intravenous catheters.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2005Publication date: August 2, 2007Applicant: VygonInventors: Jean-Luc Carrez, Valery Dalle, Pierrick Guyomarc'h, Jean-Max Huet

Publication number: 20070179446Abstract: The invention relates to positioning a cannula in a vein. A tab (11) is provided on a movable member (9, 10) comprising a wall (10) with a through-hole (12) therein for inserting a needle in such a way that inserting the needle into the through-hole holds the tab in a retaining position on a flange of the base (2) of a catheter (1), wherein said wall (10) is transversely slidably mounted in the chamber of the needle stick guard (6) relative to the needle between a lower retaining position and an upper release position so that when the needle is retracted into the guard and spaced back from said hole, the wall (10) that no longer has the needle extending therethrough can slide into the upper position thereof, thereby raising said tab above the flange of the base and enabling the guard to be separated from the catheter base. The invention is suitable for use in intravenous catheters.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 2, 2005Publication date: August 2, 2007Applicant: VygonInventors: Jean-Luc Carrez, Pierrick Guyomarc'h, Valery Dalle, Jean-Max Huet

Patent number: 7152845Abstract: A cock has an indexable rotating key. Indexing is achieved by a raised element on a shaped base of a housing of a barrel, and a ring which is formed at the end of the key and which is elastically deformable in a transverse plane. The raised element and ring form stubs and notches which cooperate to determine key blocking positions when the key is being rotated. The cock is suitable for use with medical instruments.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 2003Date of Patent: December 26, 2006Assignee: VygonInventors: Jean-Luc Carrez, Valery Dalle, Laurent Lesimple, Jean-Max Huet
