    Abstract: The invention relates to a device comprising a syringe body (10) having an axial direction (A) and a bearing sleeve (18) inside which the body is arranged. The sleeve has at least one holding lug (22) co-operating with the syringe body, at a proximal end (10A) of the latter, in order to hold the body in relation to the sleeve. Said proximal end is fixed to a wedging surface (42) having radial crenulations forming dips (42B) and bumps (42A) and the holding lug is inserted into a dip in order to prevent a relative rotation of the syringe body (10) and the sleeve perpendicularly to the axial direction.

    Abstract: A needle safety shield 10 for use with a syringe 10 having a barrel 14, a needle and a plunger rod 16. The safety shield 10 has a first tube 22. A second tube 26 is arranged for sliding movement within the first tube 22. A pin 46 is connected to one of the first and second tubes 22, 26. An activation ring 32 has a stop 72. A drive spring 34 biases the activation ring 32 in a proximal direction to place the stop 72 in engagement with the pin 46 to retain the first and second tubes 22, 26 in a retracted configuration. The movement of the plunger rod 16 to engage the activation ring 32 compresses the drive spring 34, moving the activation ring 32 distally, and moving the stop 72 out of engagement with the pin 46, allowing the drive spring 34 to move the first and second tubes 22, 26 into an extended configuration.

This proximal end part (16A) has at least one deflection ramp (30, 32) that can co-operate with the skirt (13A), at the end of the piston stroke, in order to deform the skirt in such a way as to bring part of the skirt of the actuating part (19B, 20B) closer to the holding tongue (19, 20).
