  • Patent number: 9976652
Abstract: The present invention relates to a sealing device including a sealing circular piece, an inner ring and an outer ring, with one being able to rotate relative to an axis. The circular piece is arranged between the two rings and comprises two circular lips arranged in a groove inclined with respect to the axis of rotation. The groove is provided on the outer face of the inner ring. An attachment profile is fixed in an orifice formed in the outer ring. The inclination of the groove makes it possible to increase the potential contact surface area perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the crown ring, since, for a given distance between an outer edge and an inner edge of a ring, the groove can be longer, improving the resistance of the top lip to expulsion. The two lips are prestressed in the groove allowing for a better hold.

  • Patent number: 6279438
Abstract: A device for machining a part by metal cutting comprising a massive block in a bore of which is located a sliding column guided in a front bearing and a rear bearing, at least the front bearing and the section of the column sliding therein being continuously convex in cross-section with three lobes distributed at 120° about a central axis. The front and rear bearings are hydrostatic journal bearings. The column supports a sliding block on which is mounted a slide in which is incorporated a turret head for dispensing cutting tools.

  • Patent number: 4737872
Abstract: The connector comprises: a central shaft (7) at the periphery of which linear conductor elements are longitudinally disposed, at least in a zone of contact provided on the shaft; a group (22) of radially disposed resilient conductors having conductive ends bent substantially into conformity with a toroidal surface centred on and facing towards the shaft (7) at a certain level of the zone of contact; resilient toroidal couplings (27,28) centred on the shaft (7) and surrounding said ends; a clamp (22,29) for compressing said couplings radially so as to urge, at the time of said compression of the couplings, the conductive ends radially inwardly into pressure contact with the longitudinal conductor elements of the shaft. This connector forms part of a rotor carrying magnetic heads of apparatus (FIG. 2) for recording on and playing back magnetic tape.

  • Patent number: 4709280
Abstract: Apparatus for recording and reading information on a magnetic tape, comprising heads rotating in the median plane of a drum (38) against which the tape can pass over a helical path (11). Means are provided for modifying the pitch of the helical path (11) of the tape, such as two movable rollers (55, 56) disposed respectively downstream and upstream of the drum (38), separated by a fixed difference in height and adapted to move in such a manner as to vary the length of the portion of tape connecting them without varying said difference in height.
