  • Publication number: 20130126660
Abstract: A device for handling a rubber-containing product web (20) intended for the manufacture of a tire, of the type comprising: an endless belt (24) for conveying the web (20), which belt is guided and driven by a set of rollers (R1 to R8) rotatably mounted about axes parallel to a direction (Y), termed the transverse direction, at least some of these rollers (R1 to R8) separating a carrier strand (24P) of the belt, which is intended to carry the web (20), from a return strand (24R) of the belt, a reel (28) for winding the web (20), which reel is arranged above the carrier strand (24P) and rotatably mounted about an axis substantially parallel to the transverse direction; and (Y), means (46) for temporarily diverting the path of the carrier strand (24P) between a normal path of the carrier strand (24P), substantially tangential to the reel (28), and a temporary path for winding the carrier strand (24P) around a sector of the reel (28) that is more than 90°.

  • Patent number: 6784518
Abstract: The integrated circuit comprises an inductor made at a metallization level of the circuit and a buried layer situated in the substrate of the integrated circuit under the said inductor, and connection means linking the inductor to the buried layer. The connection means are configured in such a way as to ensure the same potential in terms of dynamic response between the inductor and the buried layer. This equipotential is ensured by a transistor in a follower type arrangement made in the substrate and connected in parallel with the stray capacitances under the inductor.

  • Patent number: 6686169
Abstract: Reagents and methods for the detection of Staphylococcus aureus are provided. The reagents contain an antibody that binds to a capsular polysaccharide of type 5 of Staphylococcus aureus, and can be used in methods for detection of oxacillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus that escapes detection by agglutination in the presence of fibrinogen and antibodies directed against protein A of Staphylococcus.

  • Publication number: 20030068324
Abstract: The epidemic and pandemic potential of V. cholerae O139 is such that a vaccine against this newly emerged serogroup of V. cholerae is required. A conjugate made of the polysaccharide moiety (O-specific polysaccharide+core) of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) of V. cholerae O139 (pmLPS) was prepared by derivatization of the pmLPS with adipic acid dihydrazide and coupling to tetanus toxoid (TT) by carbodiimide-mediated condensation. The immunologic properties of the conjugate were tested using BALB/c mice injected subcutaneously three times at 2 weeks interval and then a fourth time 4 weeks later. Mice were bled 7 days after each injection and then once each month for the following six months. LPS and TT antibody levels were determined by ELISA using immunoplates coated with either O139 LPS or TT. Both pmLPS and pmLPS-TT conjugate elicited low levels of IgM, peaking 5 weeks after the first immunization.

  • Patent number: 5678220
Abstract: In a device for rejecting the image signal of a signal converted to a predetermined intermediate frequency, a local oscillator supplies a local signal at a frequency chosen according to the frequency of the signal and the intermediate frequency. A first phase-shifter has two passive phase-shifter cells including resistive and capacitive components and respectively connected to the output of the oscillator to supply two mixer signals in phase quadrature. Two mixers receive an input signal containing a signal and its image signal and a respective mixer signal and supply two intermediate signals at the intermediate frequency. A second phase-shifter comprises two passive phase-shifter cells comprising resistive and capacitive components and respectively connected to the outputs of the two mixers to introduce a further phase quadrature relationship between the two intermediate signals.

  • Patent number: 4402939
Abstract: A glycopeptic vaccinating antigenic fraction with a very high level of immunogenicity, which is isolated from a culture of pathogenic germs comprises an osidic part present in a proportion of about 50%, with a proteinic part, which are linked together by covalent bond; when it is opposed to a suitable immune-serum, the fraction has an immunological image which essentially comprises a `clear` line of precipitation close to the antigen pit, in immunodiffusion in gelose. The fraction is used for the preparation of vaccines and as a diagnostic agent.
