  • Patent number: 10018292
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an end fitting (40) for connecting a flexible pipe for transporting a cryogenic fluid, comprising thermal insulation means (65) interposed between the cold part (41) of the connecting end fitting and the rear part (51) for crimping the end of a leak proof sealed external sheath (9) of said flexible pipe.

  • Patent number: 9188266
Abstract: A protective sleeve for being installed around a longitudinal portion of a pipe (72) for transporting hydrocarbons. The sleeve includes a set of rings, each of which has two opposite flanks (16, 18), and which are retained together in series, with the flanks (16, 18) opposite each other, by a plurality of elastically deformable connecting elements (32). The bending of the longitudinal portion is capable of causing contraction of the connecting elements (32) located towards the inside of the curve, as well as the elongation of the opposite connection elements (32), in order to resist the bending. Each connecting element (32) has two opposite rigid attachment portions (34, 36) and an elastic deformable body (38) interposed between the two attachment portions. The attachment portions (34, 36) are attached to the flanks (16, 18) opposite the rings (10), respectively.

  • Patent number: 7530372
Abstract: The invention relates to a non-bonded pipe which is used to produce a dynamic pressurized fluid transfer hose and, in particular, a mud hose for rotary oil drilling. The inventive pipe consists of the following elements from inside outwards: an inner polymer sheath, at least two crosswise-arranged reinforcing plies comprising a wire which is wound helically at opposing winding angles, A and B, which are close to the angle of equilibrium of 55°, having an average that is centered on a value close to the equilibrium angle value; and an outer polymer sheath. The pipe also comprises an anticreep layer which is made from at least one coil with contiguous edges of a strip with high mechanical properties. Moreover, the aforementioned winding angles, A and B, of the crosswise-arranged reinforcing plies are not equal.

  • Publication number: 20040175523
Abstract: The invention relates to a flat textile strip which is made from, for example, a reinforced thermoplastic material. The inventive strip is wound around a tube in order to form one layer of a duct through which a pressurized fluid flows. The invention is characterized in that said strip (10) comprises a central piece (11) having a more or less rectangular section and two longitudinal edges (12) which are thinner than the central piece.

  • Publication number: 20040175524
Abstract: The invention relates to a flat textile strip which is made from, for example, a reinforced thermoplastic material. The inventive strip is wound around a tube in order to act as armour for a duct through which a pressurised fluid flows. The invention is characterised in that said strip (10) comprises a central piece (11) having a more or less rectangular section and two longitudinal edges (12) which are thinner than the central piece.

  • Patent number: 4858653
Abstract: A tubular structure is provided including an internal tube and an external tube which is formed from at least a straight strip bent or undulated, whose width is disposed substantially along at least a line normal to said tubes which it separates. It may be used, for example filled with an insulating lagging, by surrounding a pipe line or being adapted to the pipe line which then forms the internal tube.
