  • Patent number: 9188684
Abstract: A fission chamber count rate measurement device and to the associated fission chamber calibration device; the count rate measurement device comprises: (1) a measurement cell, which contains the fission chamber (CH); (2) a neutron generator, which emits neutrons in the form of periodic pulses towards the fission chamber; (3) a neutron counter (K), which detects and counts the neutrons emitted by the neutron generator; and (4) a computing circuit, which delivers, over a predetermined time interval, a fission chamber count rate normalized with reference to the number of neutrons counted by the neutron counter (K).

Date of Patent: November 17, 2015
Assignee: COMMISSARIAT A L'ENERGIE ATOMIQUE ET AUX ENERGIES ALTERNATIVES
Inventors: Jean-Pascal Hudelot, Jean-Michel Girard, Philippe Bernard, Nicolas Saurel
  • Patent number: 8817939
Abstract: A method to determine the effective masses of deposits of fissile matter, including a first measuring step to measure the count rate of deposits of fissile matter of known effective masses to form a matrix [C]0, a second measuring step to measure the count rate of deposits of fissile matter to form a matrix [C], and a computing step to calculate the effective masses to be determined.

  • Publication number: 20120189088
Abstract: A method for determining isotope ratio of fissile material having a main isotope and at least one impurity isotope, including: measurement of net areas, at respective energies, of gamma peaks of the fissile material; measurement of the reference total absorption efficiencies at the energies; calculation of the total efficiency transfers of the fissile material; and calculation of the isotope ratio of fissile material.

  • Patent number: 4798148
Abstract: An intercommunication device mounted between the two oppositely-facing open ends of two coupled railway cars is constituted by a series of rings of generally rectangular shape consisting alternately of rigid rings and flexible rings suitably attached to each other so as to constitute a flexible intercommunication tunnel, the open ends of which are attached respectively to the open ends of the railway cars. The tunnel permits free and unrestricted movement of passengers from one car or vehicle to another in all types of coupled wheeled units such as railway trains, articulated road vehicles, airport passenger bridges and the like.
