Abstract: The invention concerns a device wherein the equipment and the support formed by the motor vehicle structural element are assembled in at least one point by to matching co-operating element. The equipment co-operating element is elastically deformable for being spaced from or brought close to the support, to enable direct interlocking at said point for mounting with means for cushioning the equipment on the support. The equipment is in particular a heat exchanger comprising an array of tubes assembled at each of their opposite ends by a collector plate closed by a fluid box, the equipment co-operating element being then a structural part of the fluid box.

Abstract: The invention concerns a front panel comprising a top metal section extending over the whole width of the panel and provided with means for fixing it to the motor vehicle structural elements, and at least a central jamb including means to be fixed to a hood lock and a cowl-beam of the vehicle. The section and the jamb are mechanically interlocked to form a single-unit assembly, said assembly being overmoulded with a plastic element of the front panel.

Abstract: A module has an end part with at least one fixing pin interacting with fixing means carried by a support of a motor vehicle. A device for fixing the module to the support has an elastic fitting with a hollow for the fixing pin of the module, and a removable member with a first end. The first end has two elastic arms with concavities turned towards one another to clamp the fitting accommodating the fixing pin. The removable member also has a second end for interacting with the fixing means for securing to the support with a degree of freedom of movement chosen to provides for mutual movement of the two arms, in which one of them is moved towards the other.

Abstract: The element has a first component of the general shape of a channel exhibiting opposite free edges, and a second, plastic component overmoulded onto the first component. Each free edge is divided, in its longitudinal direction, into segments which are offset with respect to one another alternately inwards and outwards in the sideways direction of the channel. The second component forms, on each free edge, a longitudinal bead which covers over the outer face of the segments which are offset inwards and the inner face of the segments which are offset outwards. This element can be used as a front-face support for a motor vehicle.

Abstract: The invention concerns a motor vehicle assembly comprising a structural element and a headlamp for the vehicle, wherein the structural element is separate from the motor vehicle body and capable of being directly mounted thereon; the structural element and the headlamp have complementary arrangements for mounting the headlamp on the structural element while allowing the headlamp at least one degree of freedom along a specific direction; the headlamp and the car body have complementary stop arrangements defining a reference position for the headlamp along the specific direction; and elastic means are provided operating between the structural element and the headlamp for urging the headlamp along the specific direction countering the reaction force of the stop arrangements on the headlamp. The invention also concerns a method for mounting such an assembly into the car body, while defining reference position for the headlamp(s).

The section and the support are separate parts, mechanically interlocked by a plastic material jointly overmoulded on the section and the support. Said structure enables in particular the use of sections with closed cross section, such as extruded or hydroformed sections. The support consists in particular of a center jamb including a hole for being fixed to a hood lock and to a cowl beam of the vehicle.

The section is a directly mounted section and force-fitted on a crosspiece of the plastic frame, both the section and the crosspiece comprising mutually fitting structure and co-operating elements for crimping the section on the crosspiece.
