  • Patent number: 4349838
Abstract: The system makes it possible to accurately align the laser emission axis with that of the video image sensor by using a point light source and an associated focusing optical system. External reception is interrupted during the alignment phase. The system tracker measures the errors at X and Y of the image of the source formed on the sensor. The latter is rotated to occupy a plurality of predetermined successive angular positions. An electronic control and calculating system supplies, on the basis of successive error data, sweep correction signals at X and Y making it possible to control the center of the image coinciding then with the invariable point of the image corresponding to the rotation axis.
