Abstract: A fishing line loading device comprises a frame and a movable axle pin by which a fishing line supply spool may be mounted. A tension and guide plate is attached to the frame and, being spring-loaded, it automatically applies the proper tension to the circumferential edges of the spool. Also, being grooved, it eliminates horizontal movement of any size of supply spool. The frame may be mounted on a fishing rod near the reel, thereby holding the supply spool centered on the rod for line transfer.
