  • Publication number: 20190193369
Abstract: A multilayer structure is disclosed, comprising: at least one first layer comprising a first polymer film that carries, on a first face, a metal deposit, the first face being a free face of the first layer; and at least one second layer comprising a second polymer film. The second layer is joined, in a plurality of junction zones, to the first layer on the first face carrying the metal deposit, the junction zones defining a region of contact between the first layer and the second layer, the first layer and the second layer forming at least one cell outside the contact region.

  • Publication number: 20100028649
Abstract: The present invention provides multi-film structures which are designed for applications where thermal insulation is needed. Disclosed multi-film structures comprise a) at least one flexible baffle film including at least one thermoplastic layer comprising one or more ethylene acid copolymers and/or ionomers thereof, the flexible baffle film further comprising a metal or metal oxide layer deposited onto the at least one thermoplastic layer, and b) at least one external layer, wherein the at least one baffle film and the at least one external layer are bonded together at predetermined and selective locations so to form cells within the multi-film structure.

  • Patent number: 6668577
Abstract: An insulated container for the storage and transport of fresh food items to keep them at a desired temperature, preferably between 0 and 4° C., includes a case provided with an insulating material lining on all its inside faces. The container also includes a diffuser cover provided with an independent refrigeration source connected to a thermal bridge by a support receptacle. The refrigeration source keeps the desired temperature inside the case for a determined period. An insulating cover fits over the diffuser cover to provide thermal insulation for the assembly.
