  • Patent number: 7303105
Abstract: A nailing device used for securing hardwood flooring planks to a subfloor using arcuate fasteners. The nailing device comprises a main body in turn defining a fastener discharge opening. The nailing device also comprises an arcuate fastener ejection channel made in the main body and destined to accommodate an arcuate fastener, the arcuate fastener ejection channel opening outwardly of the nailing device at the fastener discharge opening. The nailing device further comprises an arcuate plunger at least partially nested in the arcuate fastener ejection channel and movable along the arcuate fastener ejection channel between first and second limit positions. Moreover, the nailing device comprises a plunger actuator nested in the main body and connected to the arcuate plunger, which can be selectively activated for moving the arcuate plunger between its first and second limit positions.

  • Patent number: 5380250
Abstract: The fastener strips are made from a band of wires which consists of a series of parallel spot-weldable metallic wires disposed side by side, contiguously and spot-welded to each other at longitudinally spaced points of the wires and arranged along lines transverse to the bands. The spot welds are produced by a laser beam swept across the band as the same is continuously moving. The band is thereafter cut and stamped to form fastener strips. The spot welds constitute frangible joints holding the fasteners together for manual handling of the strip but breaking when the fasteners are subjected to a separating force such as when used in a pneumatic nailer.

  • Patent number: 4907730
Abstract: There is disclosed a pneumatic nailing tool operated by a hammer blow or the like substantial force. The tool also carries a feeler which ensures operation of the tool only when the latter is properly positioned on the work-piece to be nailed. The above characteristics constitute two safety features preventing accidental operation of the nailing tool. The tool also ejects the nail with a delay after the hammer blow, whereby part of the force of the hammer blow serves to push the work-piece in proper position before being nailed.

  • Patent number: 4371183
Abstract: This folding wheel-chair is characterized by a rigid seat and a rigid back-rest and that is nevertheless of simple construction and operation. This folding wheel-chair comprises a pair of opposite sides, each including an upper portion upwardly slidable relative to a corresponding lower portion, a pair of braces articulated to each other intermediate their ends and to the lower and upper portions at their opposite ends about fore and aft axes, a pair of offsetting arms pivotally supporting one side of the rigid seat on the upper portion of one side of the wheel-chair, supporting members removably resting on the upper portion of the other side of the wheel-chair, and a rigid back-rest foldable over the rigid seat for bodily pivoting therewith to an upwardly edgewise position between the opposite sides of the wheel-chair upon folding of the latter.
