    Abstract: The invention relates to a crosslinking process for self-crosslinking copolymers essentially based on (meth)acrylic monomers and is characterized in that, on or before the deposition of a layer containing at least one crosslinking catalyst, a second layer containing at least one self-crosslinking copolymer in suspension or in solution in an aqueous medium or in an organic solvent is applied, and in that these two layers are subjected to a heat treatment such that crosslinking of the layer containing the copolymer is initiated.The invention is used in the production of molded, impregnated, coated and printed articles, adhesives, binders, finishes, paints and varnishes.

    Abstract: New fluorinated telomerization products are disclosed which are products produced by the reaction of:a. one mole of an ester of one or more acids of the formulaHS-A(COOH).sub.n (I)with one or more polyols, andb. 1 to 5 moles of one or more compounds possessing at least one ethylenic bond, one at least of these compounds conforming to the general formula ##STR1## In formulae (I) and (II), A represents a hydrocarbon radical which may contain atoms of oxygen, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulphur or halogen, n is a whole number from 1 to 4, Rf is a perfluorinated chain containing 1 to 20 carbon atoms, B is a bivalent chain, one of the symbols R represents a hydrogen atom and the other a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms. These products when applied to substrates, such as textile fabrics, confer on them a permanent anti-stain and soil release finish while permitting easy elimination of soil by washing.

    Abstract: Aqueous pigmentary printing pastes for textile fibers containing a pigment and a thickener in which the thickener is a latex, having a proportion of dry material of from 30% to 50%, of a water-soluble copolymer having a glass transition temperature of from 20.degree.C to 100.degree.C and containing in interpolymerized form the following components: (a) 40% to 60% by weight of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, crotonic acid or mixtures thereof; (b) 10% to 30% by weight of a vinyl ester of an organic or mineral acid; (c) 50% to 30% by weight of one or more ethylenic monomers, other than the above-mentioned esters, which form water-insoluble homopolymers; (d) 0% to 5% by weight of one or more monomers containing an ethylenic linkage and one or more polar groups; and (e) 0% to 5% by weight of one or more monomers containing several ethylenic linkages; the proportion of said latex in the pastes being 0.5% to 15% and said copolymers being partially or totally neutralized.
