  • Publication number: 20230182790
Abstract: In a method for calculating, by an estimator, an instantaneous velocity vector {right arrow over (Vu)} of a rail vehicle, the estimator receives measurements from an inertial unit at a fixed point in the vehicle body and determines a mathematical model M of the dynamics of the vehicle moving on a track, the model being dependent on the bias of the inertial unit and installation parameters, a virtual sensor is determined based on the model M, the virtual sensor enabling calculation, from model parameters, two theoretical transverse velocities ?vyc, and ?vzc along axes yc and zc, respectively. An iterative estimator calculates {right arrow over (Vu)}, and includes the virtual sensor, the estimator being configured so the two theoretical transverse velocities are zero regardless of the rail configurations, the estimator enabling correction of the biases of the inertial unit and estimate installation parameters. Auxiliary velocity or distance travelled sensors are not used to calculate {right arrow over (Vu)}.

  • Patent number: 7385469
Abstract: The integrated microelectronics component comprises an electric conductor forming a transmission line element for a radio frequency electromagnetic wave. This electric conductor is surrounded at least partially by a preferably closed magnetic circuit, formed at least by superposition of a layer of ferromagnetic material having a saturation magnetization value greater than or equal to 800 kA/m and of a layer of magnetic material. The layer of magnetic material then generates a uniaxial magnetic anisotropy in the adjacent ferromagnetic layer. A high magnetization can then be combined with a high anisotropy, thus enabling operation in high frequency ranges, for example about 5 to 20 GHz.

  • Patent number: 7294868
Abstract: Super lattice structures in conjunction with a tunnel junction to provide an improved contact for multiple components. The tunnel junctions can include a first semiconductor material having a resistance parameter for conducting a current and a second semiconductor material having a resistance parameter that is more restrictive to conduction of a current than the resistance parameter of the first semiconductor material. The first semiconductor material can have a critical thickness at which lattice matching of the first semiconductor material causes dislocation. The second semiconductor material can have a critical thickness at which lattice matching of the second semiconductor material causes dislocation that is thicker than the critical thickness of the first semiconductor material. The tunnel junction can be used in a monolithically manufactured photo transmitter and receiver design.
