  • Patent number: 9110309
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for selecting progressive ophthalmic lenses for a given frame and wearer, the progressive ophthalmic lenses having one area for distance vision and one area for near vision, said given frame having two recesses suitable for receiving a progressive ophthalmic lens, respectively, said two recesses defining a recess midplane. The method includes the following steps: a) fitting said wearer with said given frame; b) determining the position of a first point of intersection between a first direction of the gaze of said wearer in a distance vision posture and said recess midplane; c) determining the position of a second point of intersection between the gaze of said wearer in a near vision posture and said recess midplane; d) assessing the distance between said intersection points; and, e) selecting progressive ophthalmic lenses in which the progression length corresponds to said distance assessed between said intersection points.

  • Publication number: 20150207963
Abstract: The present invention relates to a photographic lighting system for tactile tablet including a first dorsal camera noteworthy in that said system can have a removable dorsal protective shell and a light source. According to a variant, the shell and the light source are furnished with connection capabilities allowing removable fixing of the light source to said shell. Preferably, the connection means are magnets. Preferred use in connection with a measurement capture computer program for the optical centring of lenses in a spectacles frame as a function of the physiognomy of the wearer of said frames and of the characteristics of said frames.

  • Patent number: 8556420
Abstract: A method for the on-line selection of virtual eyeglass frames, of the type in which the virtual frame is an image designed to be superimposed on a first image of a face, is provided wherein the images being recorded at the same scale as each other in order to be displayed simultaneously in such a way as to produce a representation of the face wearing the virtual frame. The method includes the steps of a second image of the face wearing a reference frame is recorded, the second image displayed at the scale is processed to determine a datum giving the vertical position of the reference frame on the face, and the image of the virtual frame is superimposed on the first image of the face using the datum, so that the relative vertical positions of the virtual frame and the face on the one hand, and of the reference frame and the face on the other, correspond exactly.

  • Patent number: 8523355
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring the curve of a spectacle frame (4) comprising the following operations: determining the position of a first reference mark (18) defining the mid plane of the spectacle frame (4); determining the position of a second reference mark (20) defining the orientation of a spectacle lens holder relative to said mid plane; and measuring the angle between said first and second reference marks. The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 8182089
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for determining the orientation of ophthalmic lenses (20, 22). The apparatus includes a recording device and a reference-frame unit that can be fitted onto a frame (14) while a patient is wearing it. Said frame has two half parts (11, 13) and a central bridge (15). The reference-frame unit includes a first element forming an arch (24) that has a central portion (26) indicated by a first reference mark (54), and a second element (56) indicated by a second reference mark (58), mounted on said frame. According to the disclosure, the apparatus includes two cameras (60,62) separated vertically from each other and pointing at the eyes from two angles of view (64, 66); and the two cameras (60, 62) enable two images of said reference-frame unit (24, 56) to be recorded simultaneously in order to evaluate the relative positions of the two reference marks (54, 58) and provide a value that represents the slope of said half parts (11, 13).
