  • Patent number: 7448605
Abstract: A controllable hydraulic vibration-damping support comprising two strength members interconnected by an elastomer body defining a working hydraulic chamber, an auxiliary hydraulic chamber communicating with the working chamber via a constricted passageway, a pneumatic chamber separated from the auxiliary chamber by a moving wall, an electrically controlled vent device for establishing a connection to the air, which device can be actuated electrically in order to put the pneumatic chamber into communication with the atmosphere, and a check valve allowing air to flow only out from the pneumatic chamber towards the atmosphere.

  • Patent number: 5711513
Abstract: The sleeve comprises two tubular rigid strength members (4,5) where one surrounds the other and where they are united by an elastomer body (6) shaped so as to co-operate therewith to form two sealed cavities (7,8) that communicate with each other via a narrow channel (9), the cavities and the channel being completely filled in a liquid, the portion of the elastomer body that defines at least one of the cavities having a generally U-shaped or V-shaped axial section that is outwardly open in a radial direction, and the narrow channel extending along an arc of a circle disposed at an axial end of the sleeve, close to its outer strength member (5). The outer strength member forms an integral portion of a rigid connection arm (11), and the narrow channel is defined in part by a radial flange (16) of a cage (15) received in the outer strength member.

  • Patent number: 5269498
Abstract: The hydraulic anti-vibration device comprises: an annular rigid endpiece (1) about a vertical axis (X); a rigid stud disposed coaxially with the endpiece; a frustoconical annular wall (3) made of elastomer that withstands axial compression and that is interposed between the endpiece and the stud; a watertight flexible membrane (4); a rigid intermediate partition (5) dividing the assembly into a working chamber (A) and a compensation chamber (B); a throttled passage (6) between the chambers; and a mass of liquid (L) filling the chambers and the passage, the stud being disposed inside the working chamber and constituting the head (2.sub.1) of a suspension rod (2), and the downwardly flared annular wall (3) extending upwards inside the bottom annular portion (12) of the working chamber. At least the bottom of said bottom annular portion is provided with at least one flexible blade-like obstacle (13).

  • Patent number: 5060917
Abstract: An improved hydraulic antivibratory device is disclosed intended to be inserted for damping and connection purposes between two rigid elements, comprising an annular frame (1) and a rigid hub (2), fixed respectively to the two rigid elements, a frustroconical elastomer spring (3) interposed between the frame and the hub, a flexible and sealed membrane (4) carried by the frame, a rigid intermediate wall (5) defining two chambers (A, B), a restricted passage (6) causing the two chambers to communicate permanently together and a liquid (L) contained in the two chambers and in the restricted passage. The hub comprises a shoe (11) which is too large to pass through a washer (8) of the frame and this shoe is connected to an annular zone of the intermediate dividing wall by a sealed bellows (12).

  • Patent number: 5018699
Abstract: A hydraulic antivibratory support is disclosed for insertion between a vehicle chassis and engine. A protective cover (14) which covers the flexible membrane (7) of the supprot is formed by an integral portion of a rigid intermediate arm (13) adapted for connecting the frame (5) associated with the cover to the crankcase of the engine.
