  • Publication number: 20160052438
Abstract: The force, exerted by the seat belt (13) attached to the top of the beam (12) attached to the tube (2) enveloping the bar (1) by making a space (3) allowing the energy absorption sleeves and their dogs to be inserted, is transmitted to the bar (1) centred in a hole (4a) of a flange (4), the bar comprising at each of its ends an arm (5) bearing on mobile abutments (6) which retransmit the force to the 2 flanges (4) each retained by their claw (4i) in the casings (17) immobilising the module on the floor of the vehicle, the force being distributed in equal parts to the 2 sides of the seat. The use of said module results in substantial time, weight and cost savings.

  • Patent number: 6786671
Abstract: A device for fixing the hub of an arm of a wind-screen wiper (2) on a pivoting axis (1) with locking elements (6, 7) for the arm on the pivoting axis (1), a cavity (32) which is created in the hub (2) and is provided with adjusting and angular positioning elements for the arm in relation to the axis (1), whereby the hub (2) rests on the base of a stop (3) which nestles on a radius of operation (4) of the said axis (1); the locking elements (6, 7) are adapted in such a way that they can be engaged in a locking or unlocking position, the adjusting elements includes a connecting ring (10) which is rotationally fixed to the axis (1) and accommodated in the cavity (32) of the hub (2) with a certain amount of play allowing for limited relative angular displacement between the connecting ring (10) and the hub (2) when the locking elements (6, 7) are in an unlocked position, whereby all relative displacement is prohibited between the connecting ring (10) and the hub (2) when the locking elements (6, 7) are in a locke

  • Patent number: 6779841
Abstract: A motor vehicle seat adapted to receive a safety belt includes a seating part and a back part on either side of an articulation zone. Each of the parts includes a frame with two arms abutting the articulation zone, the two arms forming respectively side members for the seat and vertical members for the back: the ends of the two arms of one of the parts and the ends of the two arms of the part are mounted each rotating via a pivot in a bearing. The pivot is borne by one part and the bearing by the other part, and an energy-absorbing element is provided between at least a pivot and its corresponding bearing.

  • Publication number: 20030020306
Abstract: The invention concerns a motor vehicle seat adapted to receive a safety belt and comprising a seating part (10) and a back part (20) on either side of an articulation zone, each of said parts (10, 20) comprising a frame with two arms (12-13, 22-23) abutting the articulation zone, the two arms (12-13, 22-23) forming respectively side members (12, 13) for the seat and vertical members (22, 23) for the back: the ends of the two arms (22, 23) of one (20) of said parts and the ends of the two arms (12, 13) of the other (10) part are mounted each rotating via a pivot (24, 25) in a bearing (14, 15), the pivot (24, 25) being borne by one part (20) and the bearing (14, 15) by the other part (25), energy-absorbing means (40) being provided between at least a pivot (25) and its corresponding bearing (15).

  • Patent number: 6135664
Abstract: A coupling device for placing at one end of a shaft (21), comprising a hub (40) to be mounted on and axially locked relative to the shaft (21), the shaft (21) being surrounded by a hollow cylinder (34). The hollow cylinder (34) and the shaft (21) are locked in their relative adjusted angular positions by a locking washer (70) held against the front surface (35) of the hollow cylinder (34) by a locking screw (61) centered on the axis (20) of the shaft (21) axially holding the hollow cylinder (34) against the hub (40), the device being preassembled to form a sub-assembly.

  • Patent number: 5176043
Abstract: A device comprising a ring coupled on its inside surface to a steering column and coupled on its outside surface to a member such as the hub of a steering wheel, the ring being adapted to be displaced in translation by means of a control member, at least one of the couplings being adapted to determine in addition to translation of the ring angular displacement of the hub relative to the steering column, the control member comprising a screw with its axis parallel to the rotation axes of the members and which, by cooperation with the ring on the one hand and the hub on the other hand, is adapted to bring about translation of the ring by virtue of commanded rotation.

  • Patent number: 4286903
Abstract: This relates to a tool assembly for repairing, and in particular, grinding a tap seat. The tool assembly includes a cutting tool carrier shaft and the primary features of the device are concerned with the guiding of the tool carrier shaft so that the tool carrier shaft is axially fixed without play in a guide while being free to rotate to effect the necessary machining operation.
