  • Patent number: 6705061
Abstract: A process for the external decontamination of a packaged object, the latter comprising the object proper, at least the external surface of which is in the decontaminated state, for example sterile, a closed wrapper containing said object, the interior of which is in the decontaminated state, for example sterile, as well as a means of filtration, said process comprising a step of decontaminating the external surface of the wrapper, wherein, before the step of decontaminating the external surface of the wrapper: a) at least two parts and are formed in the wrapper, these respectively determining two compartments and which are leaktight with respect to one another, a first part containing said object, and a second part comprising the whole of the filtration means; b) the second part is separated from the first part, while preserving the leaktightness of the first compartment; then the first part alone is subjected to the step of decontaminating the external surface of the wrapper.

  • Publication number: 20040035824
Abstract: A method for surface marking a solid substrate (1), according to which, during an exposure sequence, said substrate is exposed to coherent monochromatic light (2) in order to strip said substrate over an indented surface (3), wherein the exposure conditions, including duration, are set in order to restrict said indented surface to simple abrasion designed for the bonding of a printing medium, and the exposure sequence is followed by a sequence of projecting in discrete form, during which particles (6) of said printing medium, the deposition of which subsequently defines a printed element (4), are projected in targeted fashion into the indented surface (3, 31).

  • Patent number: 6168037
Abstract: A resealable vial featuring a connector assembly having a membrane and a pusher for selectively opening or sealing the fluid passageway between the bottle and the connector end of a luer hub. The connector assembly includes a body disposed on said bottle, and means for communicating fluid such as a luer connector hub which may be separately provided with the body or formed integrally therewith. The luer connector hub features a connector end open for access by medical delivery instrument, and an opposed end which is disposed for fluid communication with a recess defined by the body. The body defines a recess having a fluid path with the open top of the bottle. A membrane, preferably formed from an elastomeric material, is secured across both the recess and the open top of the bottle, and may be retained between the top surface of the bottle and the body.

  • Patent number: 5899881
Abstract: A stopper assembly having by-pass features for use in a multi-chamber syringe barrel. The stopper assembly includes a sequential stopper body responsive to fluid forces for enabling the sequential delivery of disparate contents, such as disparate fluids, separately held in the syringe barrel. The sequential stopper body has a generally cylindrical sidewall with a distal end, a proximal end and a longitudinal axis therethrough. The stopper assembly also includes a generally cylindrical flow channelizer mounted to the distal end of the sequential stopper body. The flow channelizer enables the reconstitution of dry medicament held in the syringe barrel distally of the flow channelizer. The flow channelizer features opposed proximal and distal ends and a generally cylindrical outer surface therebetween. At least one fluid flow channel extends between the proximal and distal ends of a flow channelizer.
