  • Patent number: 4101543
Abstract: A dyestuff of the formula: ##STR1## IN WHICH --CH.dbd.CH--CO--Y is fixed in the 4 or 5 position, X is hydrogen or chlorine, Y is amino or alkoxy containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, the p-phenylene nucleus A is unsubstituted or substituted by chlorine, alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, alkoxy containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, formylamino, acetylamino, propanoylamino, benzoylamino or cinnamoylamino, m is 0 or 1, and B represents the radical N-methyl (or ethyl)-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-quinolyl, 2-hydroxy-carbazolyl, 3-hydroxy-dibenzofuranyl, 2-phenylindolyl, N-methyl (or ethyl)-2-hydroxy-3-cyano-4-methyl-6-oxopyridyl, 3,6-dimethyl-4-hydroxy-1-phenyl-(4,5,-b)pyrazolopyridyl or the radical of formula: ##STR2## wherein R.sub.3 is hydrogen, methyl, alkoxycarbonyl, carbonamido or alkyl-substituted carbonamido and R.sub.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 12, 1974
Date of Patent: July 18, 1978
    Assignee: Produits Chimiques Ugine Kuhlmann
Inventors: Jean-Pierre Henri Stiot, Claude Marie Henri Emile Brouard, Jean Marie Louis Leroy
  • Patent number: 4013632
Abstract: Dyestuffs of the formula: ##STR1## in which R represents a methyl or ethyl group, R.sub.1 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, R.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, and the benzene nucleus A may be substituted, the molecule being free from groups causing solubility in water by the formation of ions; process for their preparation, process for the coloration of synthetic fibers by means of such dyestuffs, synthetic fibers colored by means of such dyestuffs and diazotizable amines of the formula: ##STR2## in which R represents a methyl or ethyl group.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 20, 1974
Date of Patent: March 22, 1977
    Assignee: Produits Chimiques Ugine Kuhlmann
Inventors: Jean-Pierre Henri Stiot, Jean-Marie Louis Leroy, Claude Marie Henri Emile Brouard
  • Patent number: 4008213
Abstract: Dyestuffs of the general formula: ##STR1## in which the radical --CH=CH--CN is fixed in the 4- or 5- position, X represents a hydrogen or chlorine atom, the benzene nucleus A is unsubstituted or substituted by at least one chlorine atom or alkyl, alkoxy or acylamino group, m is the number 0 or 1, and B represents the residue of a coupling compound containing no sulphonic or carboxylic acid group. The dyestuffs in which m represents zero may be prepared by diazotizing a base of the formula: ##STR2## and coupling the diazo derivative with a coupling compound BH wherein X and B have the same significance as set out above. The dyestuffs in which m is equal to 1 may be prepared by coupling the diazo derivative of a base of the formula: ##STR3## with an amine of the formula: ##STR4## diazotizing the amino-monoazo dyestuff thus obtained and coupling with a coupling compound BH wherein ##STR5## have the same significance as set out above.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: February 15, 1977
    Assignee: Ugine Kuhlmann
Inventors: Claude Marie Henri Emile Brouard, Jean Marie Louis Leroy, Jean-Pierre Henri Stiot
  • Patent number: 3987027
Abstract: Dyestuff of the formula: ##SPC1##In which m is equal to 0 or 1, n is equal to 1, 2 or 3, A represents the residue of an aromatic or heterocyclic diazotizable amine devoid of solubilizing acid groups, the benzene ring B is unsubstituted or substituted by one or two atoms of chlorine or bromine or methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy or acylamino groups, X represents a hydrogen or chlorine atom or a methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy or acylamino group, Y represents a hydrogen atom or a methyl, ethyl, methoxy or ethoxy group, R represents a hydrogen atom, a mono substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group or a group of the formula: ##SPC2##And Z represents a 2-cyanovinyl, 2-cyanoethyl or 2-chloro-2-cyanoethyl residue; process for the preparation of dyestuffs of the above formula; process for coloring hydrophobic materials with such dyestuffs; hydrophobic materials colored with such dyestuffs and esters of the formula: ##SPC3##Wherein m, n, A, B, R, X, Y and Z have the meanings given above.
