Abstract: New products and compositions of matter complying with the general formula:[C.sub.n F.sub.2n+1 --CH.sub.2 --.sub.b SO.sub.2 --Z].sub.d Mwherein: C.sub.n F.sub.2n+1 represents a straight or ramified branched perfluorinated chain: n represents a whole number between 1 and 20, b is a whole number between 2 and 20, preferably equal to 2 or 4, Z represents a chlorine, bromine or an oxygen atom (when Z is a chlorine or a bromine atom, M is nothing and d is equal to 1), when Z is an oxygen atom: M is a hydrogen atom in which case, d is equal to 1, M is a metal of the Groups I.sub.A, II.sub.A, I.sub.B, II.sub.B, VIII of the periodic table, the ammonium radical, the aluminum or the lead radical, and in which case d represents the valence of this metal and methods for preparing new products as illustrated by the following representative reactions.

Abstract: This invention pertains to polyfluorinated sulfonamides having the formulaC.sub.n F.sub.2n+1 --CH.sub.2 --.sub.b SO.sub.2 --NRR'wherein n is a number of from 1 to about 20; b is an integer of from 2 to about 20; R is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen radical and an alkyl radical having from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms; and R' is selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen radical, an alkyl radical of from 1 to about 10 carbon atoms, a cyclic alkyl radical of from 5 to 12 carbon atoms, and an aryl radical of from about 6 to 12 carbon atoms. These compounds are prepared through the action of polyfluorinated sulfonic chloride on an amino derivative.

Abstract: New compositions having the following general formula: ##STR1## in which A. C.sub.n F.sub.2n+1 represents a straight or branched perfluorinated chain with n being 1 and 20.B. X.sup.- is an anion such as a halogen, a sulfate, an alkyl sulfate.Of these anions the preferred ones are halogens such as the fluoride, chloride, bromide and iodide, or sulfates such asCH.sub.3 SO.sub.4.sup.-,c. R', R" and R'" correspond to the following definitions:1. R' is an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 8 atoms of carbons, in which eventI. R" and R'" can be either the same as R' or different, namely, alkyl radicals containing from 1 to 8 atoms of carbon. R" and R'" can also be cycloalkyl radicals containing from 5 to 10 carbon atoms or alkenyl radicals containing from about 3 to 8 atoms of carbon, or cycloalkenyl radicals containing from 5 to 9 atoms of carbon, or ayrl radicals.Ii.

Abstract: The invention comprises perfluoroalkyl substituted amines of the formula ##STR1## wherein n is an integer from 1 to about 20, m is an integer between 2 or 4, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl containing 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkenyl containing 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloparaffin radical containing 3 to 12 carbon atoms, a cycloalkenyl radical containing 5 to 12 carbon atoms, and N or O ring substituted cycloalkenyl radical containing 5 to 12 carbon atoms, or an aryl, or R.sup.3 or R.sup.4 are joined in the form of an alkylene radical of the formula--(CHR).sub.p --wherein p is an integer from 2 to 6 and R is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms. These compounds are prepared by reacting at a temperature in the range between 0.degree. to 200.degree. C. perfluoroalkyl halides of the formulaC.sub.n F.sub.2n+1 (CR.sup.1 R.sup.2).sub.m Y (II)wherein n, m, R.sup.1 and R.

Abstract: This invention relates to new products of the general formula: ##STR1## wherein C.sub.n F.sub.2n.sub.+1 represents a straight or branched perfluorinated hydrocarbon chain in which n is a number between 1 and 20; a is an even number having the value 2 or 4; R represents a hydrogen atom or the methyl radical; Z represents an alkyl hydrocarbon radical containing from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, or the radical -- CH.sub.2 -- CHOHR, or a cycloalkyl hydrocarbon radical containing from 5 to 9 carbon atoms or an aryl hydrocarbon radical containing from 6 to 10 carbon atoms; R' represents an alkyl hydrocarbon radical containing from 1 to 9 carbon atoms; and X is an anion which can be a halide, a sulphate, or an alkyl sulphate. These products are useful as surface active agents.

Abstract: This invention relates to carboxylated polyfluoroamine compounds of the general formula ##STR1## wherein the radical C.sub.n F.sub.2n.sub.+1 -- is a straight or branched perfluorinated chain, n is an integer from 1 to 20, a is an integer from 2 to 10, p is an integer from 1 to 10, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 each is an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical containing from 1 to 6 carbon atoms and the process for their preparation.

Abstract: This invention comprises perfluoroaliphatic substituted amino compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein n is an integer from 6 to 20, m is 2 or 4, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each is hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl with 1 to 3 carbon atoms, R.sup.3 is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl containing 1 to 29 carbon atoms, an alkenyl containing 3 to 10 carbon atoms, a cycloalkyl radical containing 3 to 12 carbon atoms, a cycloalkenyl with 5 to 12 carbon atoms, an N or O ring substituted cycloalkenyl radical containing 5 to 12 carbon atoms, an aryl, the radical --(CHR).sub.1 --OH wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl containing 1 to 3 carbon atoms, and R.sup.4 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group and the method for preparing the same. This invention also comprises perfluoroaliphatic substituted amino compounds of the formula ##STR2## and mixtures of products of formula II with compounds of the formula ##STR3## and the method for preparing the same. The compounds are strong oleophobic and hydrophobic agents.
