  • Patent number: 7399510
Abstract: A sandwich structure (2) comprising a core (20) and two facings (21, 22) between which the core is placed, the core (20) being formed from a mineral-fiber-based product (1) obtained by a process involving internal centrifugation combined with attenuation by a high-temperature gas stream, characterized in that the mineral fibers are crimped.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 13, 2004
Date of Patent: July 15, 2008
    Assignee: Saint-Gobain Isover
    Inventors: Valerie Dupouy, Jean-Pierre Maricourt
  • Publication number: 20060281622
Abstract: Thermal and/or acoustic insulation product based on mineral fibers, obtained by internal centrifugation and attenuation by a high-temperature gas stream and by crimping, characterized in that it contains no devitrified and/or defiberized particles, the length of the fibers is at most equal to 2 cm, preferably less than 1.5 cm, and the fibers have a micronaire per 5 grams of less than or equal to 4, especially between 2.5 and 4, or a micronaire of less than or equal to 18 l/mim, especially between 11 and 15 l/mim, in particular around 12 to 13 l/mim.

  • Publication number: 20060124538
Abstract: A process for manufacturing a filter medium including a felt of mineral fibers bonded to a veil. The process forms fibers by a device employing internal centrifuging, that includes a fiberizing spinner dish. Then, a precursor of a binder is sprayed onto the fibers. Then, the fibers are collected on a veil. And then, a heat treatment of the assembly including the fibers and the veil is performed with a controlled thickness to convert the binder precursor into a binder. The filter medium thus obtained allows the production of particularly effective pocket filters.

  • Patent number: 6745573
Abstract: An integrated air separation and power generation process produces an O2-enriched gas stream and an N2-enriched gas stream in an air separation unit. The O2-enriched gas stream is introduced with fuel and steam to a combustor, producing flue gas. At least a portion of the flue gas and steam stream exiting the combustor is used to generate power. The N2-enriched gas stream is heated and power is generated from the heated N2-enriched gas stream.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 28, 2001
Date of Patent: June 8, 2004
    Assignee: American Air Liquide, Inc.
Inventors: Ovidiu Marin, Jean-Pierre Maricourt, Olivier Charon, Pietro DiZanno
