  • Patent number: 8800417
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the operation of a plaiting machine (1) that comprises a ring (2) carrying fiber spools (3) for plaiting layers (16, 22) of fibers (3) about a mandrel (13, 17) carried by a carrier (12) capable of movement along the axis (AX) of the ring (2), wherein after plaiting the fibers (3) are cut in order to withdraw the mandrel (13, 17), and that comprises: a hub (5, 6; 18) carried by the carrier (12) and secured to the mandrel (13; 17) while being mounted upstream therefrom; an operation for tightening the fibers (3) around the hub (5, 6; IS) with a link (11, 14) surrounding said fibers (3) after the mandrel (13, 17) has passed through the ring (2); and in which the fibers (3) are cut between the mandrel (13, 17) and the hub (5, 6; 18) before withdrawing the mandrel (13, 17).

  • Patent number: 5246649
Abstract: The method of coating composite material parts with a refractory and/or metallic product includes the successive steps which consist of applying to the walls of the polymerization mold a layer of a binder which is volatile or decomposable during the polymerization heating, projecting onto said walls at least one layer of said coating products, positioning the fiber and resin fabric layers inside the mold, carrying out polymerization under pressure by heating, and then removing from the mold.

  • Patent number: 5133462
Abstract: The fixing device includes parallel slides 1a, 1b, 1c and 1d constituted by double folds of flexible thin curtains disposed opposite one another. Each slide is made up of two lips 2a, 3a, 2b, 3b, 2c and 3c which are able to receive cards 14a, 14b and 14c by sliding. Between the sldies 1a and 1b, the curtain has an arced shape and bears tie rods 6 so that any traction applied to these tie rods 6 flattens the arc-shaped section of the curtain 1, thus pushing back the lip 2a towards the lip 3a and the lip 2b towards the lip 3b. Thus, clamping of the cards 14a and 14b is respectively obtained in the slides 1a and 1b.The invention is applicable to the fixing of printed cards in housings, particularly on board space and aeronautical vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4491292
Abstract: This strut structure for suspending loads under aircraft comprises essentially a hollow beam comprising at least one element of compound material consisting mainly of mineral fibres embedded in a binder forming setting resin such as expoxide resin, this element extending throughout the length of the beam, and metal members joined to the compound material element or elements for rigidly connecting the beam to the aircraft and to the means from which the load is suspended under the aircraft.

  • Patent number: 4173366
Abstract: This device for jettisoning a load in two completely different ways comprises a rocker fulcrumed on a support rigid with the load, or spherical member formed integrally with the support, and a pair of opposed hooks fulcrumed to the structure from which the load is to be suspended, these hooks being responsive to separate control members, so that when only one hook is retracted the load can be released. If a spherical member is used, sliding cylindrical members having opposed ends formed with spherical concavities matching the curvature of the spherical member are provided, so that retracting one or both sliding members will release the load.
