  • Publication number: 20100014654
Abstract: For quickly restoring a previously set up call between first and second terminals associated respectively with first and second call servers, a first call string associated with the first terminal and with a first context of the call previously stored in the first server is created. A call restoring request including a second call string reference extracted from the first context is transmitted from the first to the second server. In the second server, a second call string is searched depending on the reference included in the request. If the second string is found in association with the second terminal, call restoring between the first and the second terminals through a path between the first and the second call strings is confirmed from the second server to the first server.

  • Patent number: 7512119
Abstract: System access points are located either in a packet transmission network or at switching unit interfaces provided with gateways with the packet network. Call servers store context data concerning terminals connected to the system through the access points and cooperate with a configuration manager in order to establish communication paths between different access points.

  • Patent number: 7480285
Abstract: Access points of a system are located either in a packet transmission network or at interfaces connecting switching units provided with gateways with the packet network. Call servers store context data concerning terminals connected to the system through the access points. When a communication path is set up through a gateway to connect first and second terminals, the servers associate an addressing resource of the gateway in the packet network with a portion of the path providing the connection with the first terminal and an addressing resource of the gateway in the switching means with a second portion providing the connection with the second terminal, and store, in the context data concerning the second terminal, an identification of said addressing resource of the gateway in the packet network.

  • Publication number: 20080069311
Abstract: To record a call between a calling terminal and a called terminal in a telecommunication network, on a call server (12) to which is linked a recording device (16), a setup request (301, 602) is received which indicates a call profile of the calling terminal and an identifier of the called terminal. An initiation message (303, 603) is transmitted to the device which indicates the call profile of the calling terminal. A setup request (306, 607) is then transmitted to the called terminal, indicating a call profile of the device. A setup response (309, 608) is received from the called terminal indicating a call profile of the called terminal. An update message (311, 611) is then transmitted to the device indicating the call profile of the called terminal and a response (314, 609) is transmitted to the calling terminal indicating a call profile of the device.

  • Patent number: 7298747
Abstract: A call server, a media gateway and terminals are connected to a packet switching network. Other terminals are connected to the gateway interfaces. The method for setting up communication includes generating a call processing task for the calling terminal in the call server, transmitting by the task a connection set-up message including at least an identifier of the called terminal and a first network address enabling to reach the calling terminal, generating a call processing task for the called terminal, and sending, based on the task to a second network address enabling to reach the called terminal, signaling data indicating in particular the first network address. When the first and second network addresses are identical and correspond to a gateway address, the latter sets up between the two terminals a communication path which does not pass through the network.

  • Patent number: 7286523
Abstract: A proxy server is used to provide various services managed by a plurality of dedicated servers to subscribers using terminals connected to a communication network. The proxy device has a three-tier type of architecture, with a stage for presenting services to terminals through the network, a service multiplexing stage communicating with the presentation stage, and a service access stage communicating with the multiplexing stage and including a plurality of access modules each associated with a respective dedicated server. The various services managed by the dedicated servers are multiplexed by the central stage which holds sessions with the subscribers without requiring a particular awareness of the services managed by the dedicated servers, nor of the physical features of the terminals.

  • Publication number: 20060045072
Abstract: The invention proposes a bidirectional interchange of information between a telephony station and a PROXY to interchange signaling protocol messages 103, 105-108, 110. This bidirectional interchange between the telephony station and the PROXY remains permanent and independent of the establishment of a telephone call. The protocol messages interchanged permanently between the telephony station and the PROXY are short messages that indicate the tones to be used and the DTMF signals. Preferentially, the protocol messages correspond to subscription service notification messages. Following the startup of the telephony station 98, the telephony station subscribes 99 with the server to a tone service, and the server subscribes 100 with the telephony station to a key press event service.

  • Publication number: 20040114613
Abstract: The invention relates to a method involving system access points which are located either in a packet transmission network (2 ,3) or at the interfaces connecting the switching units (1, 81-84) which are provided with gateways with the packet network. Call servers store context data concerning terminals connected to the system through the access points and work with a call configuration manager (90) in order to establish communication paths between different access points.

  • Publication number: 20030179753
Abstract: A call server, a media gateway (60) and terminals are connected to a packet switching network (54). Other terminals (32, 34) are connected to the gateway interfaces. • Publication number: 20030103493
Abstract: In order to provide subscribers using terminals (100-103) connected to a communication network (300), various services managed by several dedicated servers (200-204), the invention consists in using a proxy device (400) having a three-tiered architecture, with one stage (430) presenting services to the terminals via the network, a stage (420) multiplexing services communicating with the presentation stage, and a stage (410) for access to the services communicating with the multiplexing stage and comprising several access modules (4100-4104) each associated with a respective dedicated server. The different services managed by the dedicated servers are multiplexed by the central stage (420) which holds sessions with subscribers without having particular knowledge concerning the services managed by the dedicated servers nor the physical characteristics of the terminals.
