  • Patent number: 7527965
Abstract: The invention relates to a device that is intended, in particular, for the culture of cells. The inventive device consists of a chamber (100) which is intended to receive the cells (10) and which comprises at least one liquid injection conduit (121, 122, 123, 124, 125, 126), the surface of the liquid contained in said chamber (100) being in free contact with the air. The invention is characterised in that it comprises a collector element (40) which can form at least one liquid bridge with the free surface of the liquid, said collector element (40) comprising a mouth piece (43) which is positioned essentially at the level of the free surface of the liquid contained in the chamber (100). The aforementioned mouth piece (43) is maintained at a vacuum such that it absorbs a flow of air which moves the surface film (30) of the liquid via the liquid bridge.

  • Publication number: 20070105216
Abstract: A method for the controlled release of calcium from intracellular calcium stores of oocytes, by i) establishing an optimum profile for release of calcium from intracellular calcium stores of oocytes, and ii) applying the following cycles to the oocytes: (A) a pulse perfusion cycle which comprises a step of perfusing with one or more calcium pulse media and a step of subjecting to an electric pulse, and (B) sequences of compensating perfusion cycles which comprise a step of perfusing continuously with a calcium ion-free medium, followed by a step of perfusing with a calcium ion-containing medium; wherein the rhythms of the electric pulses and of the perfusion steps are adjusted in order to reproduce the optimum profile i).

  • Publication number: 20060166356
Abstract: The invention concerns a device designed in particular for cell culture (10) comprising a chamber (100) wherein are arranged the cells (10), said chamber (100) comprising at least one first conduit (131, 141, 151, 161, 133, 143, 153, 163) for injecting a first type of fluid (M1), at least a second conduit (132, 142, 152, 162, 134, 144, 154, 164) for injecting a second type of fluid (M2). The invention is characterized in that it further comprises a back-injection conduit (181, 182) wheren if one of the ends is laterally connected to the first injection conduit (131, 141, 151, 161, 133, 143, 153, 163) and the other end is connected lo pumping means, the pumping cans being designed, when fluid is injected through the second conduit(s) (132, 142, 152, 162, 134, 144, 154, 164) to draw by suction the fluid contained in the first conduit via the back-1injection conduit (181, 182), such that the fluid (M1) contained in the first conduit is presented from diffusing in the fluid (M2) injected into the chamber (100).
