    Abstract: This invention relates to 8-amino-theophylline derivatives having the formula: ##STR1## in which A is a straight- or branched-chain lower alkylene radical; B is a straight- or branched-chain lower alkylene radical; X and Y, which may be the same or different, are each hydrogen, lower alkyl or phenoxy alkylene; R represents a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1-6 carbon atoms or a trifluoromethyl group; R' represents a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1-6 carbon atoms or a trifluoromethyl group, and their acid addition salts with inorganic or organic acids.Said new derivatives have a psychotropic activity.
