  • Patent number: 9980124
Abstract: A method in a cellular communication network comprising the following steps: marking a SIM card as dormant when said SIM card has not been used for at least an observation duration, provisioning a release node by backing up managing parameters related to said dormant SIM card, in a database, de-provisioning relevant managing nodes by removing managing parameters related to said dormant SIM card, redirecting any attachment request emanating from said dormant SIM card to the release node.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: February 23, 2015
Date of Patent: May 22, 2018

  • Patent number: 9313644
Abstract: A Module connected through a communication network to at least a measuring mobile terminal, at least a mobile switch center and at least a machine to machine application, the module includes: a home location register configured to provide on demand, for a given measuring mobile terminal, an address of the mobile switch center through which the measuring mobile terminal is connected to the cellular communication network, an authentication center authenticating a given measuring mobile terminal, at least one short message service center configured to transmit the message towards a measuring mobile terminal, a short message service center interfaced between the cellular communication network and the machine to machine application, the home location register, the authentication center, the short message service center and the short message service center being embedded in a single physical structure forming at least in part the module.

  • Patent number: 6430276
Abstract: A generic access service is provided in a telephone system to enable users to get dialup access to different network access services. User profile data showing which network access services a user subscribes to is held on a database accessible to the service control subsystem of the telephone system. Upon detection of a particular phone number assigned to the generic access service an authentication procedure is initiated in the service control subsystem to identify the user. Once identified, the service control subsystem uses the user profile data to determine what access services are available to that user. Thereafter, a particular access service is selected and the number of a corresponding network access server derived.
