  • Patent number: 7167700
Abstract: An installation to provide data concerning an object. An electronic label, which includes data storage, is fixed on the object. The installation is capable of reading least part of the data stored by the label and is also capable of accessing a database which contains data concerning the object. The database is associated with an address in that database locating information is stored in the electronic label. The database is accessed on the basis of this locating data, which may be read by a reader. The installation may be used for marking and tracing gas packages.

  • Publication number: 20060010912
Abstract: An apparatus and process for producing pressurized gaseous product by air separation. A compressed air stream is cooled in an exchanger to form a compressed cooled air stream. The stream is then cryogenically compressed in a first compressor to form a first pressurized gas stream. The first pressurized gas stream is further cooled in the exchanger, cryogenically compressed in a second compressor, and then it is cooled and partially liquefied. The cooled and partially liquefied product is then fed to a system of distillation columns. A liquid product is removed from the system of distillation columns. This product is then pressurized, vaporized and warmed in the exchanger to yield pressurized gaseous product.

  • Patent number: 6666048
Abstract: In order to boost production of a product (A) of an existing separation plant (X, 1), an additional plant (Y) is integrated with the original plant so as to enable the original plant (X) to produce more of that product (A+B), whilst the additional plant may or may not necessarily itself produce the same product directly. For example, air is separated in a first unit, which is an existing double column distillation plant, to produce an oxygen rich fluid. So as to increase the production of the oxygen rich fluid, a second unit, which is a wash column (15), is integrated with the first unit. Air (41) is separated in the single nitrogen wash column (15) to remove oxygen and gaseous nirogen (42) is produced at the top of the column. The wash column is fed with liquid nitrogen (39) from the high pressure column (25) of an existing air separation unit.

  • Patent number: 6276171
Abstract: In an integrated power generation system, part of the air from a gas turbine compressor is separated in a single nitrogen wash column to remove oxygen and the gaseous nitrogen produced at the top of the column is sent back to a point upstream of the expander of the gas turbine. The wash column may be fed with liquid nitrogen from an independent air separation unit in which air is separated. Liquid from the bottom of the wash column may be fed back to the air separation unit. In order to boost production of an air separation plant, an additional plant is linked with the original plant. For example, air may be separated in a single nitrogen wash column to remove oxygen and gaseous nitrogen is produced at the top of the column. The wash column is fed with liquid nitrogen from the high pressure column of the air separation unit. Liquid from the bottom of the wash column may be fed back to the air separation unit.
