  • Patent number: 4270224
Abstract: The converter consists of a waveguide through which passes at right-angles a dielectric wafer for a microstrip. On each side of the waveguide this strip forms a microstrip line section. In the waveguide two chip diodes in series connecting the middles of the large walls of the guide have their common point connected to the strip.

  • Patent number: 4258339
Abstract: The band widening circuit consists of a section of microstrip with adjustable characteristic impedance connected in series with an adjustable capacitor both connected to the three interleaved conductive pattern of the circulator. The preferred mode consists of a microstrip with air as dielectric and a conductive plate movable with respect to the conductive strip in the shape of a spiral. The capacitor is a conductive plunger movable in a conductively coated recess of a substrate for the conductive strip of the microstrip line section.

  • Patent number: 4181905
Abstract: Quick release interconnection of waveguide circuits terminated at least partially by a standard flange is achieved by rotation of a clamping ring which surrounds the first circuit termination and cooperates by means of outer grips with a groove in a base mounted on the second circuit. Tight engagement is obtained by means of protruding pins carried by a sleeve fastened to the first circuit guided by semicircular cams and locked in a recess in inclined spring guides carried by the inner face of the rotatable ring. Disengagement is obtained by rotating the ring counterwise. Fool proof interconnection is obtained by a unique means protruding from the standard flange and registering with a unique recess in said base.

  • Patent number: 4072901
Abstract: A wafer type millimetric crystal holder of the Sharpless type with an impedance matched i.f. coaxial output. The connection between the i.f. coaxial output and the diode comprises two coaxial quarter wavelength stubs interconnected by a strip line element with a wire central conductor operating as a rejector at the carrier frequency. The diameter of the central conductor is determined by the impedance matching condition.
