  • Patent number: 9073622
Abstract: A septum includes two septum plates and the edges of the septum plates are brought into contact at one of the junction edges of the septum plates. In particular, an angle (?) between one of the junction edges of the septum plates and one of the sides of the septum plates adjacent to the one of the junction edge is less than 90°.

  • Patent number: 6397108
Abstract: Safety adaptors for connecting external medical devices to lead connector elements of temporary medical leads extending percutaneously into a patient's body are disclosed. The safety adaptors comprise a first member attached to but movable in respect of a second member. An elongated bore receives a lead proximal end segment and includes the lead connector elements.

  • Patent number: 5957965
Abstract: A sacral medical electrical lead which may be implanted and reliably fixed for a temporary period of time within the sacrum in a minimally invasive manner. The lead features a lead body having a electrical conductor positioned within an insulator sheath, a connector for electrically coupling the electrical conductor to a pulse generator, an electrode located on a distal end of the lead body, the electrode electrically coupled to the conductor, and an anchor for anchoring the lead body to sacral tissue, the anchor integral with the insulator sheath. In the preferred embodiment the anchor comprises a notched section in which the insulation of the lead body presents a macroscopically roughened surface which can thereby engage into the tissue without causing damage to the tissue.

  • Patent number: 5871528
Abstract: The present invention includes within its scope a low-cost temporary lead for pacing, sensing, monitoring, or defibrillating at least a portion of a human or animal organ, and methods for implanting and making same. The lead has at least two electrodes and distal and proximal ends, and a novel weakened zone disposed between the blunt end of a needle and at least two electrical connectors attached to the proximal end of the lead body. The novel weakened zone permits the needle to be separated from the connectors by application of a sufficiently large bending moment or pulling force thereto. Following separation of the connectors from the needle, the connectors may be attached directly and quickly to an external electrical apparatus.

  • Patent number: 4623520
Abstract: Oxygen generator comprising a casing (1, 10) containing an oxygen generating block (9) whose initiation is ensured by a manually actuated primer (8). The casing is provided with a valve (66) for the outlet of the oxygen. The primer (8) is a thermal primer separated by a gas impervious screen (13) from the material of the gas generating block (9).
