  • Publication number: 20220341016
Abstract: A method of producing a wrought aluminum alloy product is disclosed comprising Cu, Mn, Zr, Sc and Ti. The method includes casting an unwrought billet, ingot or shape from a liquid metal bath, and homogenizing the unwrought billet, ingot or shape at an equivalent time at temperature. The homogenization process includes first stage heating within a relatively low temperature range, second stage heating within an intermediate temperature range, and third stage heating at a relatively high temperature. After homogenizing, the billet, ingot or shape is worked into an extruded product, solution heat treated, quenched, stretched to a permanent set, and artificially aged. The extruded aluminum alloy product has desirable mechanical properties and electrical conductivity.

  • Patent number: 4594728
Abstract: A synchronization device for digital data frame transmission system comprising an n bit series register transferring its contents at the line frequency to a parallel register also of n bits. The m first bits of the series register are also directed to a logic circuit which tests their conformity with the beginning of the synchronization word. When there is conformity, the logic circuit controls a divider dividing by n which controls, in its turn, at the line frequency divided by n, the transfer of the contents of the parallel register to a PROM memory. The purpose of the PROM is to recognize the entire synchronization word. When there is no recognition, the operation of the divide by n divider is inhibited and the procedure begins again.

  • Patent number: 4381258
Abstract: An electric cell with a non-aqueous electrolyte. The cell includes a positive electrode whose active material is suitable for inserting the negative active material dynamically, a negative electrode whose active material includes at least one alkali metal, and an electrolyte, wherein said positive electrode includes at least one compound whose general formula is MX.sub.4 R.sub.n T.sub.p, where M represents an element chosen from among silicon, germanium, tin and lead, X represents sulphur, selenium or tellurium, R and T represent an element chosen from among copper, silver, manganese, iron, cobalt and nickel, n being greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 4, p being greater than or equal to 0 and less than or equal to 2. The invention is used in connection with button type electric cells.

  • Patent number: 4237201
Abstract: Novel compounds or compositions are provided capable of serving as solid electrolytes involving intercalated dichalcogenides having a combination of a tetravalent metal ion with a metal ion of lower oxidation state and a compensating amount of alkali metal ions to provide a substantially electrically neutral structure. The compositions have the formula:A.sub.x M.sub.x T.sub.1-x X.sub.2where A is an alkali metal ion, M is a metal ion of lower valence state than T, T is a metal capable of forming a stable substantially electrically non-conductive intercalatable chalcogenide and X is a chalogen. Also included are batteries employing the subject compositions as the solid electrolyte.
