  • Patent number: 12092184
Abstract: A vibration damper with at least two absorbers, each having at least one spoke spring, enables efficient damping of the frequency response of a crankshaft. The absorbers preferably have different natural frequencies that are adapted to the frequency response of the crankshaft. The absorbers exhibit a frequency response, which is not or only insignificantly dependent on aging of the spoke springs and on the ambient temperature. The corresponding vibration dampers can be easily designed and mounted.

  • Patent number: 11867251
Abstract: A pulley decoupler for an accessory drive comprises input and output parts. The output part and the input part are rotatable about a common axis of rotation and are rotatable to a limited extent relative to one another. A centrifugal pendulum device is provided for damping torsional vibrations with a centrifugal pendulum flange that can be rotated about the axis of rotation and has at least one pendulum mass displaceable under centrifugal force relative to the centrifugal pendulum flange. The at least one pendulum mass is acted on by a friction force generated by a first friction device having a first spring and at least one first friction element.

  • Patent number: 8585552
Abstract: A torque converter clutch control system is provided. The system includes: a mode determination module that selects one of a lock low slip regulation mode and a hard lock mode based on a lock request; and a pressure control module that regulates pressure to the torque converter during the lock low slip regulation mode such that a target slip is maintained and commands a maximum pressure to the torque converter during the hard lock mode to prevent slip.

  • Patent number: 7302330
Abstract: A method of dynamically controlling pressure to a torque converter clutch (TCC) of a torque converter coupled to a transmission is provided. The method includes: monitoring throttle position; monitoring engine speed; controlling pressure to the torque converter clutch to increase slip after the throttle position indicates a tip-in has occurred and when engine speed is low; regulating at least one of a transmission steady state pressure to the transmission and pressure to the torque converter to maintain the increased slip; and controlling pressure to the torque converter to reduce slip by engaging the torque converter clutch.
