Publication number: 20260051126Abstract: Methods, systems, and non-transitory computer readable media are disclosed for transferring modifications or deformations from a three-dimensional model of one type to a three-dimensional model of another type. In some embodiments, the disclosed systems receive an indication of a user interaction defining a modification to a three-dimensional model. In some cases, the disclosed systems modify an implicit function corresponding to the three-dimensional model in response to the user interaction. In certain embodiments, the disclosed systems generate a modified three-dimensional model by transferring the modification from the implicit function to the three-dimensional model. Further, in some embodiments, the disclosed systems provide the modified three-dimensional model for display on a client device.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 27, 2025Publication date: February 19, 2026Inventors: Uday Kusupati, Jean Thiery, Adrien Kaiser

Publication number: 20260004504Abstract: A decal application program applies textures to three-dimensional models through use of a proxy mesh. The decal application program accesses the three-dimensional model source material data which describes surface appearances values associated with the three-dimensional model. The decal application program also accesses decal source material data which describes one or more surface appearance values associated with a decal object. The decal application program generates a proxy mesh for a portion of a surface of the three-dimensional model data, with proxy mesh geometric data representing a portion of the surface of the three-dimensional model. The decal application program deforms the proxy mesh to minimize distance values between the proxy mesh geometric data and a portion of three-dimensional model source material data that represents the portion of the surface of the three-dimensional model. The decal application program then applies the decal data onto the deformed proxy mesh.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 26, 2024Publication date: January 1, 2026Inventors: Robin Faury, Jeremy Levallois, Jean Thiery, Alexandre Lanvin

Patent number: 12217364Abstract: A modeling system displays a three-dimensional (3D) space including a 3D object including a plurality of points and a cage model of the 3D object including a first configuration of vertices and quad faces. Each of the plurality of points is located at a respective initial location. The modeling system generates cage coordinates for the cage model including a vertex coordinate for each vertex of the cage model and four quad coordinates for each quad face of the cage model corresponding to each corner vertex of the quad. The modeling system deforms, responsive to receiving a request, the cage model to change the first configuration of vertices to a second configuration. The modeling system generates, based on the cage coordinates, the first configuration of vertices, and the second configuration of vertices, an updated 3D object by determining a subsequent location for each of the plurality of points.Type: GrantFiled: September 16, 2022Date of Patent: February 4, 2025Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Jean Thiery, Tamy Boubekeur

Patent number: 4858705Abstract: An assembly for driving a drilling tool in rotation about an axis related to the drilling tool from a drive column, rotating at its lower end about a second axis, with the axes being substantially convergent at the same point and forming therebetween an angle alpha. The assembly comprises in combination a remote controlled deflector adapted for creating a deviation of an angle alpha, a controller for controlling the value of the angle alpha, a guide for rotating a drilling tool and the drive column at its lower end about the axes relatively to the deflector and a controller for controlling the polar position of the deflector relatively to second axis.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 1988Date of Patent: August 22, 1989Assignee: Institut Francais Du PetroleInventor: Jean Thiery

Patent number: 4343370Abstract: This turbo-coring device comprises a tubular body provided with a coring bit and surrounded by a following pipe provided by a reaming bit. The tubular body is connected to the turbine through a fluid distributor having a side opening for discharging above the following pipe in the annular space between the device and the borehole wall a fraction of the fluid leaving the turbine, while the remaining fraction feeds the tubular body. The following pipe is connected to the outer wall of the fluid distributor through releasable bayonet type latching means.Means are provided for automatically closing the fluid discharge opening when the lower part of the tubular body becomes obturated by ground formations and an annular sealing packer is positioned between the tubular body and the following pipe.Type: GrantFiled: June 10, 1980Date of Patent: August 10, 1982Assignee: Commissariat a l'Energie AtomiqueInventors: Michel Chatard, Alain Sonnet, Jean Thiery
