  • Publication number: 20140081807
Abstract: A method for automated provision of shipping address information for online sales transactions is disclosed. The method includes receiving a request, from an online checkout process at an online retailer, for shipping address information for a first friend of a consumer, reading trademark data from a database, wherein the trademark data corresponds to the online retailer, providing to the consumer a portal displaying a social network login interface, wherein the portal includes the trademark data, generating a message to the first friend requesting shipping address information, wherein the message includes the trademark data, and transmitting the message to the first friend using the contact information that was read, receiving shipping address information from the first friend, and transmitting the shipping address information for the first friend to the online checkout process for completion of the checkout process.

  • Publication number: 20110169933
Abstract: A method for centralising the construction of images including a step of acquiring at least one radiofrequency signal with a sensor of at least one local imaging device, a step of transmitting the radiofrequency signal emanating from the sensor to the centralised processing unit, a step of processing the radiofrequency signal with a view to constructing an image, and a step of transmitting the image constructed to a display of the acquisition device. The transmission between the sensor and the processing unit and the transmission between the processing unit and the display are performed via a telecommunications network Prior to the step of transmitting to the processing unit, the radiofrequency signal emanating from the sensor is converted into a format compatible with the telecommunications network. A system for the centralised construction of images implementing such a method is described.

  • Publication number: 20100154007
Abstract: A method of associating primary content in a broadcast video program with secondary content information not shown in the program is provided. A broadcastable video program of primary content is provided on a machine-readable medium, the program having successive image frames and each frame having a plurality of coordinates. Codes are embedded in at least some of the frames, each code corresponding to an area of coordinates of the image frames. Each code is linked via links to information of secondary content not appearing in the image frames of the program, at least one of the links or the linked-to information being stored on a computer-readable medium. An interactable interface is provided to program viewers of the primary content adapted to allow the viewers to activate the embedded links and retrieve the secondary content of the linked-to information. Different viewers may receive different secondary content based on demographic variables.

  • Patent number: 5181513
Abstract: Ultrasound images are rendered reproducible over long time periods by determining contours of a first image and superimposing them on a real time display screen during acquisition of a second image. The operator manipulates the probe so that the new image fits within the contours obtained from the first image. This avoids the need for signal processing requiring powerful computer resources. It also avoids the use of complicated ultrasound images. The method may be implemented in any ultrasound equipment currently available on the market.
