Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for selecting an Application Server in an Internet Protocol multimedia network upon reception of an Internet Protocol Multimedia call destined to a called party terminal. This method at first comprises the step of a call session control network element intercepting the incoming IP multimedia call. Subsequently, the call session control Network element upon intercepting of the incoming IP multimedia call activates a dedicated primary application server. The primary application server, upon analysis of the incoming IP multimedia call presents the incoming IP multimedia call to the called party terminal together with a set of service applications for answering said incoming call. This set of service applications is determined in the analysis. The call session control Network element receives a selection of at least one service application from the set of service applications forwarded by said called party terminal.

Abstract: If a terminal (MOB_T) receives an incoming call and this receiving terminal (MOB_T) is not suitable to handle this incoming call, the receiving terminal (MOB_T) detects the service type of the incoming call, and notifies this service type to a destination terminal selecting arrangement (PRES_GATH). The destination terminal selecting arrangement (PRES_GATH) registers the presence and capabilities of all terminals (FAX_T, BB_T, MOB_T) within a certain area, and upon receipt of the service type of the incoming call selects the most suitable terminal (FAX_T) within the area of the receiving terminal (MOB_T) to handle the call. The destination terminal selecting arrangement (PRES_GATH) thereupon notifies the address of this most suitable terminal (FAX_T) to the receiving terminal (MOB_T) so that the receiving terminal (MOB_T) can forward the incoming call to the most suitable terminal (FAX_T).

Abstract: A method and related devices is described to enable provision of a localized multimedia service (S1) to a terminal (FT1) in a multimedia telecommunication network. The service is provided by a server (SAS) and the localized multimedia service (S1) is related to a geographical position (GP1) of the terminal (FT1). The method comprises determining the geographical position (GP1) of the terminal (FT1) and generating and transmitting by the terminal (FT1) to the server (SAS) a service request (REQ(S1,FT1)). The service request REQ(S1,FT1) comprises the terminal reference (FT1) and the service reference (S1).

Abstract: A system (SP) to provide a service to a user of a first terminal (T1) of a telecommunication network includes a retriever (RET) to retrieve from storage, in accordance with a coverage area (Ai), a location information (LOC-A2) that is associated by the information storage with the coverage area (Ai). The coverage area (A2) is one of a set of coverage area's (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6) of the universal mobile telecommunication system. Each one (A2) of the coverage areas (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6) is, respectively, associated with a location information (LOC-A2) of a set of location information (LOC-A1, LOC-A2, LOC-A3, LOC-A4, LOC-A5, LOC-A6).
